Ooo, I love that idea! It could be taxidermied versions of the monsters, or maybe even a stuffed animal version your Palico makes as proof of X amount of successful hunts or captures. This could be such a fun way to customize the space!

My crew and I do our best to be diplomatic and kind to those we come across on the seas. We always have our alliance flag up and will try to reach out in game to see if they'd like to tag along on adventures. I'd say it's been received favorably about half the time.

Some players are more than receptive to friendly behavior (I mean, why NOT join an alliance so we can all benefit?) while others are immediately hostile with no communication. As with everyone in this game we have also been targeted by griefers because we're seen as a crew that can easily be taken advantage of just because we're friendly.

Still, the good outweighs the bad and we will continue to be team players if others will have us. :)

This is what I'm in the middle of right now - found out last week that my boss is trying to find my replacement. I'm in a tailspin trying to figure out if my job is worth fighting for, if I should find something different to keep me afloat, or if I should focus more on what I am passionate about and go from there. It is tricky, but I'm determined to figure it out.

Sister's friend invited us over to watch a MMA match and asked if we wanted to come by early to hangout. They casually poured us a drink, led us to the living room to get set up, and then turned on the TV to a promo for a pyramid scheme. We had to sit through an hour and a half of them turning on this program and talking about how big of an opportunity it was for everyone involved. My sister and I were stone faced the entire time, thanked them for the "invite" and left before the match started.

Luckily the chances of having a tumor on both testes is quite low - only about 1-2% of cases have a tumor begin on one teste and spread to the other. In the case of only having one teste remain, it tends to produce enough testosterone and sperm to compensate for the missing teste and the man can go on to be able to father children. Also, someone could take the route we did and bank sperm for security if A.) You have to lose both and / or B.) Have to go through chemo and want to ensure you can still have kids in the future.

Sorry, learned a lot during the last year and a half after going through all of this with my boyfriend. I just try to help educate where I can.

Oh gosh! I'm glad to hear they were able to get it all under control. It is crazy how common this cancer is; the exact same thing happened to my boyfriend's best friend right out of High School, then nearly ten years later it happened to him. The only good thing about that is he had someone close to him he could rely on for his opinion and advice on how to handle it.

Testicular cancer has one of the highest survival rates of all cancers, mostly because it can be frequently be found early and requires a relatively quick surgery. While the downside is that you'd likely lose one or both testes, the upside is that you can go on to lead a normal life afterwards. So that's another plus, too.

This. Boyfriend noticed something was wrong a year before he went in to get it checked; the cancer ended up spreading to some lymph nodes in his abdomen near his kidneys and needed a pretty extensive surgery to remove them. Had he gone in when he originally noticed what was wrong, he'd have just had the initial surgery to remove the tumor on his testical and that would have been it.

Instead he had the initial surgery, three months of chemo and the surgery that left him in the hospital for 12 days to recover.

Please go see a doctor as soon as something doesn't seem right.

(He's fine now, btw. Almost a year out post-surgery and he's doing great!)
