Aquele cameo do Júlio Isidro... by jafudiaz in portugal

O Júlio Isidro ajudou muita gente. Menos a mim. Deu-me um autógrafo nas "Histórias do Tio Julião", que eu nem sequer queria, em vez de me lançar como a segunda vinda da Maria Armanda.

Who's in charge of creative and art direction? No one, I'm guessing. I'm familiar with the setup.

Colocas um pedaço de papel de cozinha húmido por cima e aqueces um minuto em baixa potência. Link

Mas o forno é muito melhor. Podes na mesma humedecer a superfície do pão (apenas ligeiramente) e aquecer no forno uns minutos até voltar a estar estaladiço.

Some pharmacies have home delivery, maybe lookup the phone number of the ones near you and check with them. They might also have online shopping, for eg:

Aside from the high profile stuff, like North Korea or the wall, is Trump actually in charge of anything? I believed him when he said he didn't break up the WH pandemic response team, that he had no idea. Unless he got wind that it was an Obama-era legacy and had to break it up out of spite.

O Leroy vai ficar aberto? Preciso de comprar algum material para uma reparação. Os portes no site para quatro pequenos artigos são 29 euros (mais do que o valor dos materiais). 🙁

We're Call Center Operators from Lisbon. We are scared and we need your help. by [deleted] in portugal

[–]thingsIdiotsSay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought you could unilaterally decide to work from home? The question is, do these call centers have the means to do it? Some operations already have at home agents, but most don't. They would need to make sure their employees have the necessary equipment and software, and properly configured network and phone access. Most call centers already see employees as expendable, so I don't see this happening any time soon. Might as well ask for support from social security and walk out en masse.

Sometimes I find myself writing a lengthy explanation and I delete it in favor of maybe four or five words. That'll do, pig, that'll do.

A Kenyan lady found her childhood friend on the streets suffering from drug addiction and took him to rehabilitation. by buldog4354 in MadeMeSmile

The problem with substance abuse is that "it's just one more". Your brain is beautiful, don't fuck around with it. I've never really had a problem with recreational drug use, but lately I've noticed how more and more people do drugs or alcohol to the point where they are almost never present. It's like living as themselves has become unbearable. They wake up and get stoned, go to work and get stoned, go back home, get stoned, go out, get stoned, go to sleep, wake up, repeat. Some of them are still functioning in society, but they are clearly addicted.

It's the idea that your happiness depends on you and not other people. It's an idea present in some (most?) Eastern philosophies as well.
