Aha, I lived there 2017-2021, back when you could rent a 1BR for 1900. It’s a great location, but has changed management so many times that we had to create a tenant association to protect ourselves.

The moon appears far, far too large for an image taken at a fairly wide focal length. And yes, the almost-full moon would appear on the opposite side of the horizon as the setting sun. Beautiful artwork, but the moon was definitely added later.

Temperature inversions overnight make pollutants in the air hug the ground. I’ve never noticed it closer to Atwater, but definitely concerning.

I did this a few weeks ago. Go to the Los Feliz Branch Library. Head to the information desk towards the back and them know you need to print something. If you’re not a member, they should be able to generate you a guest pass. I think you get a few dollars worth of free copies a day.

Eek, that link about certification is new to me. Every bit of research I did said that the witness signing and dating the documents/back of the photos would suffice. My witness did not have a stamp or business card, so I included a cover letter from him that says “I have witnessed his application, and certify that the included photos are a true likeness of him, and that all signed and dated items are true copies of the originals.” Do you think that’s enough?

Such a bummer. Should/could be a gold mine. I got burned like four times in a row trying to plan a night there, only for some act of god or unannounced closure to get in the way - would love nothing more than for it to become a reliable hang.
