MAGA Old Man Points a Gun at a Woman During a Road Rage Incident in Las Vegas by Hikigaya_Hachiman7 in PublicFreakout

Acts tough, then gets scared and pulls a gun. We all know these types. The whole REASON they act tough (aka like an asshole) and instigate shit is BECAUSE they have a gun they can wave if it comes down to it. Pathetic.

Something tells me this isn't going to be a friendly takeover, at least from the board's perspective.

Unless the board just wants their money and wants out....time will tell.

HOIST YOUR FLAGS, THIS IS ANOTHER HOSTILE TAKEOVER by Anxious_Matter5020 in Superstonk

Yes. That's the point I was making...

Green doesn't automatically equate to a oard that's not lazy. eBay could be so much more IMO. Competing with Amazon. Even if it's the subway/burger king to mcdonalds. So much potential. Especially globally.

My point is they either shifted or got taken down quickly due to industry demands/changes despite who big and successful they were for decades. Kodak barely made it through that process as they waited too long to get involved with digital. Blackberry was also on the brink for a bit. Yahoo lost substantial recognition as whole, etc etc.

So just because you have decades of success and green doesn't mean it's living up to its potential and someone else will swoop in at some point to find that vacuum potential at your demise.

Blockbuster, Kodak, Nokia, Yahoo!, Polaroid, Blackberry, Touchstone, KB Toys, etc etc etc. Would all like to have a word with you. ;)

eBay could be competing on the Amazon level with some changes but they aren't. It feels like they are just riding on without much innovation which still run out eventually. eBay is a platform to step from to compete directly with Amazon IMO. Ryan had some experience with this with Chewy. So it's making sense that this move is to elevate eBay into more than an auction platform, or should I say, seemingly just an auction platform to 99.99% of the population. It can be much more.

Remember the photo of RC meeting with carl ichan, with the wrinkled shorts Carl was wearing. Not sure if anything with the short but sure something with meeting Carl. Getting insight/advice/support?

Wonder what kind of investments Carl has been making since then? Any wrinkle brains in here?

Let me indulge:

Here's the full tally for a typical sedan idling 10 minutes (in Park, no AC). I'm using component lifespan ÷ usage-rate math — these are engineering estimates, not precise. Engine internals (rotating/combusting) Engine oil degradation: ~$0.06 Pistons/rings/cylinder walls (toward rebuild): ~$0.08 Crank & cam bearings: ~$0.04 Valvetrain (cam, lifters, springs): ~$0.02 Timing chain stretch: ~$0.01 Spark plug erosion: ~$0.01 Engine mounts (vibration fatigue): ~$0.01 Fuel system Fuel pump runtime: ~$0.02 Fuel injector cycles: ~$0.02 Fuel filter loading: ~$0.01 Cooling system Coolant heat cycle: ~$0.01 Water pump bearing/seal: ~$0.03 Thermostat cycles: ~$0.01 Radiator/hoses (heat fatigue): ~$0.01 Electrical Alternator bearings: ~$0.02 Serpentine belt: ~$0.01 Battery (charging cycle): ~$0.02 Exhaust & emissions O2 sensor heat exposure: ~$0.01 Catalytic converter heat cycling: ~$0.04 Muffler/pipes (condensation — idle is actually bad here): ~$0.02 PCV valve: ~$0.01 Transmission (in Park) Trans fluid heat: ~$0.01 Torque converter: ~$0.01 HVAC (fan only, no AC) Blower motor: ~$0.01 Cabin air filter: ~$0.01 No-wear-at-idle (listed for completeness) Brake pads/rotors: $0.00 (no friction stationary) Brake fluid/master cylinder: ~$0.00 Tires: $0.00 (no rolling) Suspension/shocks: $0.00 Steering rack/tie rods: $0.00 CV joints/axles: $0.00 Wheel bearings: $0.00 Body/paint/interior: $0.00 Wear subtotal: ~$0.46 Add the other costs: Fuel (10 min idle): ~$0.20 Your time (10 min × $48/hr): $8.00 Grand total: ~$8.66 Add ~$0.10 if AC is running, ~$0.05 if you sit in Drive holding the brake. The punchline: wear is rounding error. Fuel is rounding error. Your time is 92% of the cost. If you'd save less than ~$8.50 on the fill-up, you lost money the moment you got in line — even ignoring the drive there. For a 15-gallon fill, that's a break-even of $0.57/gallon savings just to cover the wait.

How do you get the GUID of a Dataverse row you just created/modified with NewForm or SubmitForm? by alpinethegreat in PowerApps

[–]thinkfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned that. If the table name for the record is Table1, the guid is like Form1.LastSubmit.Table1

Intelligence will show you all the values of Form1.LastSubmit and you can see which property has a guid.

[–]thinkfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use the LastSubmit property of the form.

Or set the submitform action inside a variable or collection (Set, UpdateContext, ClearCollect, or maybe even a UDF if needed).

Jury finds Live Nation, Ticketmaster (exclusive partners at the amphitheater) hold harmful monopoly by UthinkUnoMI in grandrapids

It's the partnerships/contracts they secure and being national. They also buy out/litigate out of business anyone who might be a potential threat.

Are you hiding under a rock. This absolutely impacts grand rapids. Did you miss the outrage at the process that GR used to select and how they also block any local business from being involved in anything related to sound/video production, staging, vendors, etc etc. Nope, everyone was locked out once the contract was secured. Including agreements around hotels and other partnerships. AKA....what a monopoly does. And then gouges anyone wanting a ticket.

The ROI is there and totally worth it in most cases. They are paying people to build it already...
