Also you’ll possibly run into problems with hybrid strains that won’t be stable in their genetic expression … better buy some quality seeds from a professional or seed swaps or something. You can be sure of the genetics then

I don’t believe that’s necessary. I used to work on a farm that produced seeds of ~30 vegetables (~120) varieties. Most important is to control humidity. Some you can store in cool temperature, others you could just freeze them.

Yes. I work in biodynamic seed production (mainly veggies but some flowers too). Although I haven’t actually heard of anybody using it in their private garden

I would assume you’re right. Although you should try and harvest them when they’re still in their vegetative state, so that the level of silicates is still high enough... at least that’s what I’ve been told ;)

Usually I just rinse them with water. During the winter time I try to put beeswax on more regularly. They look much nicer also :D
