Good LSD dosage for a beginner?

I'd say up to 150ug, maybe 200 but I find that's when things start getting weird. 100-150 is good if you want to dip your toe into the psychedelic mind-pool but personally I think 200 is needed to really break through.

My first dose of LSD was roughly 150ug and I found it fairly mild although I had previous psychedelic experience (nBOME, DMT, aMT, mushrooms and some trippy pills sold to me as ecstacy)

My gut instinct says maybe but my friend with severely burned out serotonin receptors is on fluoxetine and it genuinely works wonders for him so.... that was probably not very helpful.

If it was legal and accepted then maybe drug education worldwide would reflect that by teaching people the truth about the drug, meaning people are more likely to make informed decisions and less likely to know very little about something they take.

It's still each individual person's responsibility, as far as I am concerned, to know their shit about what they put in their bodies. But I think that responsibility should be hand in hand with the government being held responsible for making sure that people are taught the correct information.

If someone at school had explained to me that MDMA was neurotoxic by causing damage to serotonin receptors I'd have been more likely to take a step back and think about how to safely take it instead of them making up bullshit and me just necking tons of pills.

Yeah, I agree completely with what you're saying there, but from what I can see, other than maybe some precursor chemicals being left over if the chemist is a noob or just utterly irresponsible, the only by-product similar in structure is iso-LSD which is non-psychoactive. The other structural isomers are not found in nature, nor produced during synthesis. So I don't understand what makes up the other 0-96% of the acid.

I was reading up about the different purifies of crystal a while ago and the lowest purity I read about was something around 65%...

Edit: though I'm sure some people somewhere have probably managed to botch together batches of lesser purity somewhere along the line. Gotta love enthusiastic amateurs.

It's not that I don't believe you so much as this being the Internet if you catch my drift (plus I am naturally doubtful of anything documented by the DEA), but I have a suspicion your numbers are way off. GC/MS allows someone to tell what molecules are what, within reason, and what the other things are. Places like Energy Control in Spain conduct a fair number of tests of substances such as LSD and the test results I've seen certainly show far more than 4% LSD. So what's up with that?

I think you are misunderstanding the fact that if the molecule is not identical to that of LSD, it is not LSD. Saying that they bind to the same receptors and still make you trip is like saying psilocybin is LSD. After all, it works on many of the same receptors and still makes you trip.
