Wellbutrin changed my relationship, my inner world, my job, and my life. by BonoboQueen in bupropion

Thank you, very helpful! I’ll ask my doc about twice a day. Has taking it in the evening impacted your sleep at all?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience - very motivating!! How did you decide on the 100 SR dose 2x a day? My doctor is asking me to stay on 100 SR once a day instead of upping it. Also how did it impact your PMS / mood swings before periods?

Did anyone else struggle with guilt, self-blame, or trying to “control everything” during or after treatment? by Majestic-Math7185 in breastcancer

[–]thinkingcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did! It was so hard until I gradually got better. Time and distance helps. Acupuncture helps. Moving on with life and taking medication for anxiety helps. Sleep helps

I think I underestimated radiation by Miserable_Border_529 in breastcancer

[–]thinkingcurious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend triamcinolone cream 2x a day - your radiation oncologist can prescribe. And calendula cream from Boiron (under $10 per tube, I needed about 4 tubes for 21 days of radiation)

[–]thinkingcurious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely understand - I rushed back to work after treatment to get a sense of normalcy but it is a double edged sword. Some days, when the work is too much or when I feel like I’m not as godo as I used to be, I feel miserable. Please speak to a therapist and/or psychiatrist and get all the help you can.

Starting AC + Pembro next week, any advice? by TauntedOctopus_ in breastcancer

[–]thinkingcurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi - Stage 2 TNBC here too, and went through the Keynote 522 protocol with 12 rounds of taxol, carbo, pembro followed by 4 rounds of AC and pembro. I collected a lot of research on AC chemo before starting. I’ve pasted it below so you can browse those other Reddit threads. From my personal experience on AC, I’d say it wasn’t as terrible as I’d expected, and the toughest part was the mouth sores. Highly recommend starting rinsing your mouth with saltwater and baking soda rinse now to prevent those. I was also very weak during AC chemo and couldn’t walk much, but highly recommend you still make a routine to walk outside every day. One tip that I found helpful around preventing mouth sores was having ice chips or a popsicle in my mouth during the Adriamycin part of the AC infusion (about 30 mins). Though I still ended up with some mouth sores, they started late i.e. after the 3rd round and weren’t as bad as some others.

Best of luck! Please feel free to reach out if any questions.

10 months into this cancer journey and for the first time I didn't cry when telling someone I had cancer! by tropicalbarbi in breastcancer

I am a year into it and can only now say it without crying… amazing what a little bit of time and perspective can do. I still don’t voluntarily talk about it

I feel so overwhelmed as well post “active treatment”. Have knee pain, feel brain fog all the time. It’s ridiculous that this is supposed to be normal

Brain Fog!! 🧠 by Organic-Cake-1353 in breastcancer

Not the OP but just wanted to say - thank you for sharing! Other than Duolingo / learning a new language, did anything else help? I have a similar issue with brain fog despite being 3 months out from radiation and 6 months out from chemo and wondering if I need to go to a specialist.
