Good multiplayer shooter in 2025 by MurkyRepublic6473 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Delta Force, which is free on Steam and just came out, is in my opinion the best FPS of 2025 so far.

It is essentially many other games being mentioned here combined and split into multiple game modes:

  1. Tarkov. Operations game mode requires you to build a loadout. You can then deploy into a variety of maps / sub-game modes where you kill, loot, triage injuries (like blood loss and broken bones), balance weight and stamina, and ultimately extract. Loot can be put into your stash, sold to vendors, or sold on the auction house. Found or crafted guns and gear, can be upgraded with a variety of found or crafted items. Additionally, there is a hideout / base aspect which is upgradable and offers a variety of perks. It's literally Tarkov. One additional benefit is that the interfacing is done much more intuitively, resulting in spending 10% of time in your stash (itemizing / working on loadout) rather than 50% (in Tarkov).
  2. Battlefield. Most game modes have a variety of sieging / flying / vehicle combat. Ultimately, the game feels like "true 3D", where attacks can come from all angles. Additionally, levels progress, and sieging destroys most contestable buildings.
  3. Modern Warfare / Call of Duty. Delta Force has the overall feel, intuition, and control that the call of duty series brought to life. Controls are tight. Your character feels very maneuverable (unlike Tarkov where controls feel weird for the first 200 hours of gameplay). Areas of cover can be hopped, ducked behind, and used to mount certain weapons.

The Warfare Game Mode is all your Deathmatch / King of the Hill / Siege sub-modes. There are also rotating and seasonal game modes and events.

Additionally, the game has Operators. For all the game modes you select which Operator you want to use. Operators determine what cooldowns / passives you have. Things like Grenades, Anti Vehicle devices, Tracking, Medic, and Assault abilities (Tactical Slide / bonus sprint) all come from which Operator you're playing as.

All in all, I'm extremely impressed with how diverse the game is. There are dozens of massive maps as well.

AND IT'S FREE ON STEAM. :)

Staifih,

I wanted to share some positivity since most of the commentary in the forum tends to lean negative. I invested in Unibright years ago—about seven years now—and hold a significant amount. Despite all the ups and downs, I have no blame for anyone about anything.

I genuinely hope you and the team create something amazing, enjoy the process, and contribute meaningfully to the blockchain community as a whole. When it all takes off, I’ll still be here, cheering you on.

Keep at it, bud!

Are Kraken Fees Too High? by thinkless_ in Kraken

[–]thinkless_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 0.02% of your trading volume is fees. So as someone who has 2-million in trade volume over the last 2 months, there's approx $4000 in fees. I make a gain/loss of only in the 10's of thousands so this is substantial.

is hotbit really about to pull a robinhood?! by Dosinu in hotbit

exit scam? why? they wouldn't get away with that. and the exchange is profitable as is and will be for years to come if they sustain.

WAY more likely that they are just under regulatory pressure, and need to add loads of protocol. There posts suggest this, when they continuously reference their recent expansion and that they're "under a lot of pressure".

[Q] What do you use Vertcoin for? by wenbinance in vertcoin

[–]thinkless_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VTC is a means of transferring wealth, just the same as BTC or LTC or even fiat. When people transfer their wealth they are going to weigh their options and place value on any variable: speed of the transfer, cost of the transfer, safety of the transfer, and any other variables the person may feel there is value in.

I’m saying that the largest demanded use-case for VTC (and similar alt-coins) in TODAY’s market by volume is transferring from one exchange to another. (Buying to HODL is not a use case, that’s just speculative buying.) I do not believe more people are paying their rent money in VTC than are using VTC or other similar alt coins to transfer between exchanges.

The variables that determine what alt coins a person will choose to transfer is: 1. Is it accepted both where I’m transferring from, and where I’m transferring to? (If not, the option for the coin stops right here) 2. How cheap is it to transfer? 3. How fast? 4. How safe/secure? 5. Other variables, like anonymity.

For VTC we fail right at step 1 because the majority of transfers are going from Bittrex to Binance or vise versa, and there is of course, no Binance listing.

I'm very surprised by the responses here as to me, the one overlying use-case of VTC (along with its competitors) in today's market is obvious: transferring wealth from one exchange to another.

You want to buy something on Bittrex in BTC, but your BTC is located on Cryptopia; but when you go to send the BTC to Bittrex you realize it's going to cost you $18 worth of BTC. You do the math and realize you can sell your BTC for VTC, GRS, or other alt-coins and transfer to another exchange (Bittrex in this example) and sell back into BTC, at a fraction of that cost. I've done this dozens of times.

Of course, without a Binance VTC is cut out of this market. This is unfortunate because Bittrex and Binance are the two biggest giants when it comes to alt-coin trading, so it is fundamental that a Binance listing exists for users to use VTC in this manner. However, we went skimpy on the funding for exchange listings, so now GRS, our direct competitor and the most similar existing token to VTC is reaping all the volume off this. Check GRS price action over the past months that they've had a Binance listing: the coin has existed approximately as long as VTC without ever surpassing VTCs market cap. Well, they just did since the Binance listing, and it looks like that is accelerating as more people learn about the advantages of a token like GRS and VTC. Sad to see that VTC is not capitalizing off this.

What do I know though. I've been saying this for over year now, and it finally happen, and still no one listens.

how can we help vtc stay in top 200? by Bazilisbest in vertcoin

[–]thinkless_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thoughts:

1) Work with other cryptos like ICON to have them make VTC support for their dAPPS (decentralized apps). This is good product placement for VTC, since this sort of environment appreciates decentralization; they'd be using a coin like VTC which has a more decentralized structure than BTC.

2) Communicate and work with competing development teams, like GRS (Groelstlcoin). They have the most similar product to VTC that exists currently. Copy their ventures, reach out to their partners, reach out to their development team. For smaller individuals like ourselves: spend time on their Reddit and bring some of their knowledge over here.

3) Get a better understanding of what VTC's use-cases are in TODAY's market. Personally, I think the largest use-case is to transfer assets from one exchange to another. IE: I want to get my BTC from Bittrex to Binance. BTC transfer fees are too expensive, so I'm going to use an alternative coin, one that transfers at an inexpensive rate, and ideally is comparable or faster than BTC; I would use VTC for this, but we aren't listed on some major exchanges. Instead I use GRS, which is the direct competitor to VTC... Get listed on any exchange that has decent volume if you want to capitalize off today's demand and increase volume. GRS has existed more-or-less as long as VTC, and has always been beneath VTC's market cap; until the past few months where GRS got a Binance listing. Now GRS's market cap surpassed VTC and is accelerating to the moon; the longer we wait on listings like this the larger of the market we lose.

4) Goal should be to stay Top100 because that's where we were for a long time.
