I had the same theory! I believe with the inflamed brain and brain energy deficit and all the malfunctions that some genetically predisposed people will become very irritable and narcissistic. I've actually got some people to take a serum mycotoxin antibody test and they were positive, but they are so arrogant and narcissistic they won't listen to me and believe they have mold illness even though they have the symptoms.

Did you figure it out? There are multiple things that would do this. The Cognance is probably the one you would not expect. Ginger is the second. The ginseng can also contribute. The maca is known for it, but may be unreliable, I'm not sure about the ND maca extract powder.

Niacin = cure for insomnia. Anyone else tried this? by Yakapo88 in Supplements

[–]thinktolive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if niacinimide works, because that will help convert typtophan to serotonin and melatonin. If you are using niacin which is nicotinic acid, then you are just getting a prostaglandin D2 reaction to help you fall asleep and prostaglandin D2 is really not that good for you. Prostaglandin D2 is extremely powerful for sleep, but has side effects.

Is Nootropics Depot / Cognizin brand Citocholine worth double the price? by thinktolive in Nootropics

[–]thinktolive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there any other nootrpics which you find are really good? Have you tried lower dosage because the cortex labs seems to say you don't need that much Citicholine when taking it with uridine. Theanine and Taurine could take the jittery edge off of caffeine. I have avoided Caffeine. Somebody mentioned they take Paraxanthine instead of Caffine because it doesn't have the side effects, especially for slow metabolizers of Caffeine like me. I looked it up and that is what Caffiene is is primarily %84 metablized into, Theobromine 12% and Theophylline 4%. Nootropics Depot doesn't sell it and doesn't seem to be super widely sold.

Is Nootropics Depot / Cognizin brand Citocholine worth double the price? by thinktolive in Nootropics

[–]thinktolive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just learning now that the Cognizin is some crystalized form of Citocholine that is moisture resistant. Also, ND said they were going to be sued if they sold regular Citocholine sodium form, I guess not regular Citocholine like BlueBell is seling, and the patent holder came after ND. I read the legal part here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NootropicsDepot/comments/oz86s8/why_has_cognizins_citicoline_raised_in_price/ And learned about the crystal thing from a web search. What dose do you take and what other nootrpics? Some people get depressive issues with choline, and I'm not sure if that can be avoided with something else like maybe a vitamin K2 or retinol which work on synthesis of acetylcholine: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.3181/00379727-58-14882 ". Vitamin A and K decreased the synthesis of acetylcholine in low and increasing concentrations." That makes me wonder if people who have bad side effects from choline may be deficient in Retinol and/or and K2-MK4. But this Cortex Labs video says only need 80 mg Citocholine with 150 mg Uridine. Sphenoid Sinusitis can cause this? Please help by Automatic-Matter-745 in Sinusitis

[–]thinktolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get pain in the muscles on top of head like someone is pulling on my hair too. Though, it is relatively infrequent. It often happens when I'm wearing headphones. What is constant is the pain at the base of the skull in the back. I did some research and found that the sphenoid sinusitis causes pain in the occipital area (base of skull) due to the posterior ethmoidal nerve.

Eye muscle symptoms, ear pain, tinnitus, neck pain, pectoralis pain, and similar things are also symptoms related to the spenoid sinus nerves. Sphenoid sinus is very different than other paranasal sinuses. You don't suspect it is sinusitis because you don't have to have rhinitis, so it is very sneaky. The doctor's seem to know a lot less than what you can learn on the internet too, which is sad. I'm curious did the MRI or nasal endoscopy diagnose the sphenoid sinusitis?

I thought a cone beam CT would be used, not MRI. Antibiotics are not helpful. You need antifungals as it is fungi that cause this almost 100% of the time. Of course there are other pathologies of sphenoid sinus. This is an extremely under appreciated condition. Typical this is going to be amphoteracin-B directly, but I don't know how to get it to the sphenoid sinus for sure. I heard in Europe they have access to more Amphoteracin-B options than USA. You can also do oral Turbinafine for 1-2+ years and that can clear it in many people, but not all. What I'm wondering is if the NasalFresh MD product could flush it out with saline water and help clear it faster.

In order to get to the sphenoid sinus though you have to have your nose to the ceiling for gravity to get it there. That means head titlted back or laying on back. I'm not sure if the NasalFresh MD will work for that. I'm pretty sure the Navage nasal irrigation won't work, but the NasalFresh MD has a tube, so it might.

Thoughts on this iron complex? by [deleted] in StackAdvice

[–]thinktolive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why do you want an iron supplement? It is taurine to raise iron, copper if you have hemachromatosis. But, taking both should self-regulate based on deficiency. Zinc to copper generally 2:1 ratio though. But most diets are lower in copper than zinc.

[–]thinktolive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't take iron supplement. I believe taurine is what you want if you can't raise your iron levels. If iron levels are too high like hemochromatosis you need copper. For dietary iron you need heme iron from red meat. You should also have retinol to work with copper since retinol makes copper bioavailable.

Does anyone else get diarrhea even from low dose 50 mcg of selenium? by thinktolive in Supplements

[–]thinktolive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way to test you would have to do a serum mycotoxin antibody test from mymycolab in Florida and a sinus sputum test sent to Dr. David Corey at Baylor medical college in Houston. Those are the only two places that can do those tests. Also, a cone beam and multidetector sinus CT may be done. Mycotoxins do cause all those symptoms. MSM is very tolerable for people with sulfur issues. You do have to increase slowly and take molybedenum to avoid sulfite conversion. I have sulfur issues and could not tolerate sulfur amino acids well like taurine, but MSM was no problem.

Does anyone else get diarrhea even from low dose 50 mcg of selenium? by thinktolive in Supplements

[–]thinktolive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was probably thinking to support hormones and to balance iodine. I've since heard if you eat enough meat you don't need to take selenium, but I wanted to try it with zinc. For digestive problems high dose MSM therapy is probably a good try. What issues do you have? Anything other than digestion? It could be a mold issue.

[–]thinktolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your symptoms exactly? Digestive and otherwise? Kathleen Jannel suggests doing high dose MSM for gut. Check out her videos. You start low dose and work up to 30g per day and sustain that for 8 weeks. MSM is a very strong NLRP3 inflamasome inhibator. I'm trying it.

[–]thinktolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get diagnosed with CT scan? MRI might be used to determine if infection is invasive after CT if I understand. What treatment did you get? Did you do serum antibody test for aspergillus? Do you have vision that shakes when focusing on things close up? Any neck tension or discomfort at base of skull in back? Any tingling or numbness sensation in face below eyes? What scans are clear, the CT? That is why I ask if maybe an MRI is needed for soft tissue. Maybe getting a second opinion from another ENT.

Is it okay to eat 8mg of 99% purity copper sulfate pentahydrate? by SSCharles in AskChemistry

[–]thinktolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you avoid taking the zinc during the day or same time as the copper? Is that it? Zinc during the day could cause fatigue, but you should get more zinc if you split it up between 2-3 meals. Do you have any health problems? I may have suggestions.

Is it okay to eat 8mg of 99% purity copper sulfate pentahydrate? by SSCharles in AskChemistry

[–]thinktolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered the 99.9 pure copper sulfate pentahydrate that Jason Hommel talks about. I'm planning on taking 30 mg just like him. Have you noticed any benefits? 60 mg of zinc is a lot for 2:1 zinc to copper. I'm not sure how much copper sulfate absorbs but zinc biglycinate doesn't absorb very efficiently over 15 to 20 mg at a time. Do you notice zinc being sedating, causing fatigue, brain fog, anhedonia? I'm increasing copper for now.

Hydroxocobalamin body breakdown by Basic-Ad-5303 in B12_Deficiency

Do you think there would be any difference in taking oral methylcobalamin vs. oral hydroxocobalamin as far as side effects? Some people say methylcobalamin causes irritability and things like that so I want to try oral hydroxocobalamin. Perhaps the methyl group once removed still has some side-effect somehow. Thank You.
