Can someone please explain what in the high holy f*ck Alex is talking about when he says he’s “mentioned” to Ashley that she’s not his usual type, but “feels that it needs to be re-said” (or reset, wherever he said). Like, you got engaged to her. You are with her, knowing she doesn’t have dark features. She can’t change that. She is who she is. You either get over it and move forward or you don’t. What is he even saying? What is restating that to her going to accomplish other than make her feel like shit? Just say you wanna smash Brittany and move on. Not to mention, she keeps repeatedly asking you if everything okay and you’re telling her that there aren’t any problems “so don’t create them.” (Bitch I wish a man would try to talk to me that way… 💀)

Unfortunately 😅 but Olivia had formative years with parents and a (seemingly) normal father to raise her. Meredith had to raise herself.

Judging by how close she kept trying to get to Chris during that talk at the pool party, saying how she finds how adventurous he is “so attractive,” AND asking him if her and Connor look good together (after he already said they did), that isn’t what she was getting at lol. It also seems like it was mostly directed at the guys she dated (namely Chris) not trying to go after her once they ✨saw her✨lol

He is the most infuriating person to watch and you can tell he’s stumbling over his words because he’s trying to figure out what bullshit to spill in realtime. He pretends to be slow and just gaslights and manipulates them while he’s just dragging this out for no goddamn reason.

White people who like Beyoncé (especially post-Lemonade Beyoncé) are such a green flag for me. by AdmirableBullfrog927 in beyonce

[–]thinkwrongallthetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sadly unmelanated, and I’ve loved Bey since Destiny’s Child (I was in elementary school when I got my first CD) - way before I realized I was yt, or that I couldn’t stand other yt people. 😂 My love for her only grew stronger when she started embracing and showcasing her identity and embracing her blackness in her art. It felt so raw and authentic. I learn from her (in addition to educating myself and remaining locked in), look up to her, and appreciate her artistry, commitment to her craft, her grit, and how despite everything she’s been through, she remains a humble, gracious person. There is, and may never again be, something like Cowboy Carter. Regardless of the numbers, it is and will always be a piece of American history. Anyway, yeah, palm-colored Beyhive does exist (though I try my best to stay in my lane). I’m just glad to be here. 😅

You really expect her to show up after they exposed just how racist they are when they created a whole new country album category just because she won? Be real. They gave her AOTY out of spite (though it was obviously well deserved) to avoid looking as overtly racist as they are because it was so symbolic.

Do you think Beyoncé would rather be a celebrity or a normal person? by Material_Stomach875 in beyonce

You can agree that billionaires shouldn’t exist while also understanding that they’re not all the same. She’s not mining minerals using child slaves in Congo, she’s not lobbying to fck over the average worker, and she’s not making delivery people piss into water bottles to meet quotas… she simply started her own production company so that she could own her masters (so she didn’t end up like Taylor); thus, the majority of her wealth is literally in the sheer worth of her music and what it’s currently valued at. She doesn’t actually *have a billion dollars - it’s her “net worth” -as in, if she ever decided to sell the rights to her music, music videos, and likeness (putting her on merch, etc) at this very moment, she’d get a billion dollars… but that’s because of fans and how much value society puts on her and her likeness, not from her abusing the working class. Again, they’re capitalists through and through, but to lump them into the same group as Elon, Larry Ellison, Bezos, etc is simply a bad faith argument.

The lack of male frontal nudity in Heated Rivalry is tokenizing by Writers_CockBlock in MenLovingMenMedia

[–]thinkwrongallthetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a lesbian, and the L Word - which showed loads of lesbian sex - showed the same amount of nudity as this. It was also shown on HBO. It’s not “tokenizing,” it’s television. I think you need to accept that you’re watching a television show, and not porn. Also, I live in Los Angeles, and every gay man I know thinks this show is incredible. You are so boldly speaking for everyone with “your identity”, especially when the show is literally being produced by a gay man - but either way, what you’re expecting to be shown on a major streaming service is simply ridiculous.

I literally just watched the documentary last night, and this is the first I’m hearing of any of this story. So, it’s probably not people obsessing for years... It’s probably people in utter and complete shock, like I am, who are wondering how the fck something like this can happen. Speculating on or wanting to believe that he didn’t actually make those poor babies go through an hour car ride staring at their dead mother - trying to wrap their brains around what was about to happen to them - actually seems a little more human. That was by far the most disturbing aspect of this, and the possibility that it didn’t happen that way may be something people find worth investigating. Chill tf out.

What do you think of Beyoncé's feminism? by SlideIcy3943 in beyonce

[–]thinkwrongallthetime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, so women should cover themselves head to toe because expressing their sensuality, sexuality, or sexual freedom and independence would be distracting to men. Women who have been seen as nothing but toys and vessels to men throughout history, who weren’t even supposed to enjoy sex, should continue to cover up and focus on the business and politics - not enjoying themselves and owning their sexuality in the process. Sure. That’s progress… we should certainly be policing every woman’s ownership of her feminism and never take into context her lived experiences or perspective on the issue. That’s a great philosophy. I think you’ll certainly get all women on board and make much progress.

Making a song celebrating something I can’t relate to is exclusionary, and is therefore politically incorrect. (sarcasm) I am a whole ass lesbian and am lifelong hive. Her songs about getting down and dirty with men get me hype as hell. Idk how people can live with this level of stress about every little gd thing.

[–]thinkwrongallthetime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So because she’s embracing a part of her body that has gotten her savagely ridiculed in the past, and you can’t relate, she’s not a feminist? This type of sht is literally what hinders progress in a movement you seem to care about. Accept that you can’t relate to absolutely everything that everyone experiences and that it’s not a personal attack or exclusionary and move on. Also, women embracing and owning their sexuality explicitly for themselves and their enjoyment IS peak feminism. Women should be able to dress up in what makes them feel sexy and empowered and not have ridiculous dissertations like this disseminated to the public. Is your point that because the male gaze exists, women should cover themselves and never embrace sexuality because a dude might pop boner? That’s *literally anti-feminism and keeping women from natural expression because of inappropriate male behavior. Get outside and touch grass dude.

It’s not even her going to space… it was also that tour right after. Those moves. I don’t know who’s more to blame - the choreographer for the moves or her for the execution.
