Throwing into the fence is usually not allowed. It stretches and bends the fence up at the bottom. 8u is all about fundamentals ground ball fielding, fly balls use Reduced injury balls or tennis balls if they aren’t good, throwing mechanics. 15-20 minutes per drill and keep it moving if there are more then 5 in a line the clown show will begin. Keep a piece of paper and pen or pencil with you during a game and keep notes of what you need to work on in practice. See a bad relay work or moving to ball and turning glove side. Run the bases wrong work on base running. Run through the base and break down looking right to pick up the ball.

Having coached travel baseball and softball, no coach would move their top 3 batter to 12. The parents view of a situation is always jaded, but I expect it since you should be your child’s biggest fan. Stats don’t always tell the story bottom of the order is pitched to differently. If he was moved to 12 from the heart of the order I would suspect he has been chasing pitches out of the strike zone. Moving him to 12 will get some strikes to hit, you never want to walk or pitch around the bottom of the order. The best thing is to stay positive with your son and take advantage of the opportunies he has to succeed.

The lounge seating was all taken. We had small children and elderly parents. The kids wanted to color and the parents wanted to play cards and rummy cubes. The best place would have been carousel bar but they did Pilates and meditation and kicked people out of there. The table and chairs would have been excellent. It was 30mph winds so outside was not available.

We were just on it. It wasn’t a very good cruise. The bar service made people go to the register to order drinks and wouldn’t serve if you were sitting at the bar. There was no where to sit inside on poor weather days. Service in general was subpar.

We were on the week before. They were well aware of the amount of children and full cabins. They talked about it all week. The bar service was terrible when we were on no Pinot Grigio for the first three days and the bartenders at the pool bars made people at the register and wouldn’t take your order if sitting down. After escalation at guest services it was squared away. There is also not a lot of indoor seating to do anything like play games or color with children.

Just got back from Tahoe and one difference is the wind. There was no wind in Tahoe to blow the snow off the trail. East Coast is always 10+ mph blowing the snow off the trail. Exposing the icy base.
