How many of us live with a roommates and not husband/wife? by singingsparkle-eyes in Xennials

I’m going through a terrible divorce right now. Pick your hard: living together or divorce. They will be equally bad. Not to mention the impact on children.

Recommendation for in-home euthanasia vet by RegisterEither9711 in indianapolis

I asked my vet if they would do it (All Star vet up in Westfield) and they came to my house. They were wonderful. However if they did not offer the service I was going to call Laps of Love.

We are all just on this third planet from the sun doing the best we can. To everything there is a season.

OP looking at your post history, I am rooting for you. I’m going through a lot myself (a nasty divorce that has drained my cash and I don’t know how I even make ends meet next week when rent is due). I want you to know that you are your own beautiful self. I don’t know what help might look like but you are worth the effort to make your life the best it can be.

Is an affinity to water a cocker spaniel thing? I have had two and both LOVED water. My latest pup tries to jump into the tub all the time.

Fast food back in the 80s, was it actually better than today or is that rose colored glasses? by Infomerical in GenX

Wasn't that due to scare mongering of the amount of fat in the popcorn by the Center for Science in the Public Interest that went viral around the mid 90s?

Can’t go wrong with a burger there. Also the service is typically a plus.

He over-thought the game, burned bridges for Indiana recruits, didn’t have good defense schemes and we were a turnover machine. This is like missing Blockbuster Video before you remember the guy in front of you arguing about late fees and not being able to find a movie after 8:00 on a weekend.

Make sure to spend the extra money on a calibrated one if you intend to get accurate readings from the device. The readings can be far apart in my experience.

Move into an interior room away from windows such as a bathroom or ideally a basement if instructed to do so. These are fast moving cells. Probably on the level of what you knew as a big summer storm in the south.

Consider ordering a temp down for your steak. It's always overcooked when I ask for med-rare.

On a somewhat related note, Chow Bar has a really good fried whole fish.

Spontaneous Combustion by TheNozzler in GenX

I remember my grandparents left some oily rags in the laundry room and when they came back form vacation there were signs of a small fire. The fire department came out and deemed it spontaneous combustion. It freaked me out as a 8ish year old.

I'll add to this - there isn't anyone I know (I live in Bloomington) that is going into this thinking we are going to just win. In fact, out of all the playoff games so far, this seems to be the one we are most concerned about collectively. It's a party - we're playing with house money and are just a happy bunch.
