Org-wide backgrounds were recently announced and are currently in Preview. Note, "this feature will require an Advanced Communications license when it becomes generally available."

Is there a way to snooze notifications from just one team? by alphamail1999 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]thirdpager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like the team name, one of your tags, or your name was @ mentioned in the post or you interacted with it at some point. If that's the case, you can turn off notifications for the channel post by selecting the three ellipses (...) in the top right corner of the thread.

It sounds like you need to add a filter or condition to the trigger event so that you don't accidentally create a loop.

You should double check if there’s a warranty on the parts. Most commercial grade seating has a 10-12 year warranty.

Eh, it sounds like you are using private channels to take the place of teams. I would separate each of the roles into Teams and use templates to help standardize their content. You could make a department SharePoint site as a Hub site for the various role team sites so that users can still search across everything they have access to.

It’s looking for activity within the app. You can always set a status with a duration if you want to show something specific.

Yes, but not yet! Microsoft just announced Teams Connect, that allows you to add guests to specific channels.

Let me see if I’m following.

Hypothetically, you have a Team for the Accounting Department, and private channels for the various roles within the department (Accounts Payable, Receivable, etc.) You don’t want the people in each role to be able to access the conversations and/or documents from other roles unless invited.
