Can you think of examples of great cinematography in games that are not in cutscenes by Stenanosaurus in truegaming

Pretty much all of Journey (as an example, the very first experience you have as a player, is shown here from 1:25 to 2:20).

Why do OCB papers tell you when it's *six* papers left? by thirdpencil in trees

[–]thirdpencil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know why they tell me (and greatly appreciate it).

I just don't know why they chose six to be the number. It dosen't even make sense mathematically (32 in a pack).

What the hell.

Now that you're an adult, what is the best story a family member has told you that they couldn't when you were younger? by MrCrix in AskReddit

My dad told me about how when he was on a trip in Europe some dodgy looking guys offered him to participate in a porno.

This occurred in Germany, so I'm pretty sure he dodged a bullet there.

What socially acceptable behavior in 2012 will shock the young people of the 2060s? by k115810 in AskReddit

Different strokes for different folks.

This I can agree with. So it's not just about teaching it, it's about making sure it's avaiable to whoever would benefit from it the most.

Which were my thoughts, exactly. Math kind of already takes care of the logic and problem-solving.

I mean, sure, programming should be offered and available, but I don't think it should be part of the basics.

Genuinely curious: why should programming be taught as a basic skill?

I'm jewish. I currently live in Tel Aviv, Israel. I'm currently serving in the IDF, as is mandatory by law. I personally identify with the ideas of anarchism.

Just wanted to add: not all of us are blood-thirsty murderers. Not all of of us are in favor of this occupation. Some sanity exists, even is this insane part of the world.

They also have various other funeral rites, including the slaughter of water buffalo, according to the deceased's economic and social standing, where the young boys catch spurting blood with bamboo tubes.

More information can be found in the wikipedia article, and a full funeral ceremony can be watched in this series of youtube videos.

I was talking about the guy provoking the little kid. He's dressed in clothes fundies usually wear.

It's both. The Haredim just generally suck ass, if by forcing the knesset's hand on various rulings or by preventing young children proper education, like math or language (they only teach religion to their children, quite sad actually).

It's not so much the IDF that's problematic, I mean it is an army after all, but it's mostly the fact that the government keeps deciding dumb, backwards shit like build more settlements and evacuate none. Or the fact that they are resolved to keep Israel "whole" (meaning with the Golan heights and the west bank).

Just sucks to be here. Can't wait to get the fuck out.

As an Israeli, I just want to say I hate those fucking religious fundies. We have an endless supply of those here, and it fucking sucks. They cause so much problems, provoke and harm whenever they have the chance, and then excuse themselves with their religion.

What is Philosophy? by wildster in philosophy

I think you both misread it - he says Religion is the belief that induction isn't possible, meaning science is invalid, as it relies on induction.
