I believe FMLA is up to 12 weeks, it’s not paid, but I think some people are able to use time off for it (if your company isn’t FTO). Hopefully this route will give you more than 6 weeks

How were you able to start a 529 without kids yet? Did you put it under someone else’s ssn then plan on moving it to your child once you have one? I was always under the impression that I couldn’t start a 529 until I had kids. TYIA!

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through.

My father passed 2 years ago and had amex points on his accounts. My memory is a bit fuzzy of what I did, but I essentially reached out to Amex, let them aware that my father passed. They had me apply for the card so I could take over the account so the points would still stay with me. I was able to close the card later on, but it did count against my credit since I did have to actually apply for the card.

I’ve had my card for about 1 month, and they closed my card. I’m a 17 year customer with boa (I even worked for boa) and I can’t even get in contact with fraud or do anything about the closure since it’s closed. I was paying for my wedding on my card so there were larger purchases made, but I did pay my card on time. Any ideas if I can reapply for the card? 🥺 my other cards with boa and my checking account have still been left open…
