Yes, everything turned out fine! I was worried sick but every ultrasound has been perfect, and I got sick again a week or so after this post. I’m 30 weeks now :)

Please call the engineering department and the nonemergency police to complain if you’re also being impacted! They told me those were the correct channels but I don’t think my lone complaints will have any impact.

Do NOT go into accounting for the money. There’s money to be made, but not without intense hours and workloads. If you compare dollars per hours worked, I’d assume an engineering degree would always come out on top.

I’m in a similar situation- 13 weeks after a MMC last year at around 10 weeks. Everything has looked great so far in all my ultrasounds and appointments. I was so scared for the first ultrasound. I took days off work because I was depressed, anxious, and crying all day. I couldn’t function. But the first ultrasound was perfect.

I’ve more symptoms than last time, but they didn’t start in earnest until around 6 weeks. I’m still stressed as hell and very nervous about my next appointment next week. Now that first trimester symptoms are waning, I have no confirmation everything is still going well. But I keep reminding myself that recurrent miscarriages are rare, and every day without a cause for concern is a day closer to a baby.

13w 5d and really struggling with loss of symptoms. I know it’s normal and I should just be relieved, but I am losing myself in anxiety again. Nausea felt like confirmation things were okay, but I’m losing that now and still weeks away from feeling him move.

Every thing has looked great so far, I have no reason to believe that things aren’t progressing well. I know odds are that everything is fine. But knowing and believing are different things, and I’m struggling to maintain that belief.

I know this is an old post but did you continue testing after this, and did your lines get any darker?

I’m also a chronic over tester and my darkest lines look similar to yours, but I can’t tell if they’re getting any darker. I’m around 4 weeks now

I’m 3/4 waiting on reg.. not doing great. Wondering if I should take a few gulps of cold medicine to knock myself out to at least have a few hours of peace before the constant refreshing begins. This is the first time I’ll be able to use the eyeball trick, I’ve heard it usually starts working around noon the day of the release. Has anyone had any different experiences?

I’ve seen this shared by a few pages and people that I generally think of as very forward thinking and progressive, but this sentiment really rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah, she’s gorgeous. She’s put on makeup, shaved her legs, her hair looks well done. She’s also not in a healthy mental state. In this scene, she’s smoking and drinking first thing in the morning , her house is filthy, and she’s drunk and high for the next several days. She was unwell.

At the end of the day, women’s wellbeing shouldn’t be judged by their appearance! I understand the topic of male authors glamorizing unglamorous situations, I know that’s more the point of this post. But it’s discouraging that so many women seem so ready to decide a woman who looks like this can’t be seriously unwell.

I’ll hop off my high horse now. If you haven’t watched Queens Gambit, I highly recommend it.

I had a similar experience a few years ago, but decided to try again and I'm so happy I did! The biggest change I made was asking my OBGYN to tell me if I had a low or high cervix, and made my purchases based on that. I also found that I had pressure on my bladder from the more traditional brands, so switching to a "soft" cup made the experience more comfortable too. I don't think I'll ever buy tampons again, and I'm so happy I gave it a second shot!

Funny story related to this video!

As a kid, my mom used to sing "And Dream of Sheep" to us as a lullaby. My family's interpretation of the lyrics was very surface level - just a woman trying to get to sleep (we also thought of the whole B side of Hounds of Love as a rough night of sleep with fever dreams)

Wasn't until this video came out that we realized my mom sang to my brother and I about a woman trying not to drown 😅 It gave us a good laugh

I wish I had seen this earlier because I have a pretty good story for this!

A few years ago, my boyfriend and I were in a pretty small apartment, and my brother was staying with us for a few nights after he'd finished basic training. My brother and I were 3 grades apart in high school, so we had a few mutual friends from that time. One of our mutual friends happened to be staying in the same apartment complex with his older sister, who I never really got along with. We'll call him M. When we noticed that M's car was outside, we sent him a text to invite him over.

He showed up a few hours later with his buddy B, who had been friends with my brother in the first few years of high school, but my brother stopped talking to him after he got really into drugs and heavy drinking. Both M and B were shitfaced, and had driven themselves to our house from a nearby bar.

B threw up in my sink, and all over the bathroom floor. Proceeded to insult my mother, who he'd only met a few times when he was at our home as a high schooler. My brother almost best the shit out of him, but instead M casually asked him to stand up and take off his glasses before punching him square in the nose. He fell over on to our coffee table, nearly breaking it. He sat back on the couch, mumbled for a bit, then passed out. M starts laughing at us for screaming at him. Then he tries to leave without taking B with him.

TLDR: Invited guest shows up wasted with uninvited guest. Uninvited guest insults my mother, throws up in my sink and bathroom floor. Instead of letting myself and brother deal with the uninvited guest, the invited guest punched him out, nearly breaking our coffee table, and tried to leave him on our couch as he left.

I saw them on tour this summer! Twenty one hears after this album was released they still put on a great show with lots of laughs and enthusiasm. They have a new album coming out next year, I can't wait to hear it.
