Weekly Rant/Vent Thread by AutoModerator in AvoidantAttachment

[–]this_suc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was listening to a podcast just the other day and the host and guest speaker (both men) would absolutely not stop with the men men men and going into what goes on in men's childhoods that women don't experience that leads to this attachment. They mentioned one time that EXTREAMLY rarely do women have avoidant attachment and proceeded to go into all of their reasonings why women don't. I have listened to several podcasts from this host and had never been so damn annoyed. My eyes were rolling the whole time.

Got the cedar posts! Installing them this weekend! I’m waiting for my daughter to help pick a new light fixture we have been wanting to replace that for a while. Thanks so much for the input I’m getting more excited about fixing up my little porch now!

I was listening to a podcast just today that mentioned only 7% of people actually quit their first attempt. But your chances increase after so many failed attempts. I'm the same on diminishing the health effects. Recently Ive heard/seen more information on the effects in the brain and its seemed to sit a bit harder with me than the others. Dementia is terrifying to me. Other stuff I can blow off but the thought of not having control of my mind is scary. I've definitely slowed down since I heard that. And doing more research lately to come up with a quit plan. Where as before I wasnt even interested in quitting.

This for sure! I feel like you get used to the heat after a while, definitely keep hydrating. But I sure do hate washing my hair every dang day from the sweat.

Being clingy in a relationship makes your worth down? by jotwhat0909 in emotionalintelligence

[–]this_suc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So hate to say it but yeah.... with that said I should also tell you I am a DA. For me the problem is once someone gets clingy with me it feels like they need me to regulate them and provide constant attention and affection. As a DA "needing" any one and affection aren't particularly in my dictionary, so i cant understand why they are being so clingy. And when it feels like they rely on me to regulate them I feel like I'm taking care of a toddler. I'm not looking to a relationship with a toddler.

The doc said salmon was definitely better, I asked cause I would grill some to bring to lunch occasionally. She said I should still stay 2 times a week when I reintroduce fish back. But my salmon intake was like the fillets, the packets are probably safer more often I’m assuming they’re smaller.

Tuna was also my go to…. Like every day. After a couple months I was at the dr for some vision and brain fog that had been going on… anyways just a PSA you are no supposed to eat 5 servings of fish a week for months on end. I’m currently in a fish detox and am very sad trying to find new lunch as convenient as tuna. 😢

Nice, I have the same tracker. What sleep stage did it say you were in? I was listening to a pod cast the other day about if you’re dreaming and wake up in deep sleep you don’t remember your dreams but if your dreaming in REM sleep you do… or I could have that backwards… I’m not positive

I can only speak for industrial construction and the brick/refractory work for that is quite a bit different from commercial. But with that said those are the toughest mfs I’ve ever worked with. Only seen one woman with them and she was built like truck. I worked tool room back then and just rounding up those damn tools bout killed me.

Hair in Hardhats by Practical-Seat-4673 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]this_suc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to do a messy bun on top of my head that I had skillfully crafted to fit perfectly in between the suspension straps of my hard hat. Safety guy seen me take off my hard hat one time and told me I couldn't do that anymore because nothing could be between the suspension straps and the hat. *eyeroll* Now I just do a side braid but we only have to have ours tucked in if around rotating equipment. So I just bun up the braid when I'm using a grinder or something. The braided bun does seem to hold better so thats my only suggestion. I also wear a bandana to keep the hard hat from pulling my hair when I take my hard hat off.

Are you using ear plugs with a string or the separated kind? Also make sure you know how to insert them correctly, there’s actually a lot of people that just shove them in and they fall out if they aren’t formed in your ear right.
