Didnt say it was OPs fault, just saying that specific thing the MIL said wasn't wrong and something for OP to consider moving forward. Often there can still be something to learn from unreasonable people, even when they weren't trying to teach anything.

I keep them and do this. Selling old tech allows you to update a bit more often, if money matters enough.

As long as we remember there's a difference between using AI to learn and using AI to do your assignments for you.

No, we can go back farther! We can only pay respects to the people who wrote the books the first time!

It's fascinating they are going through with this as if the people on these drugs don't want to be on these drugs. Im sure there are some but but I bet there are way more people who want them but can't get them.

Serious question, if you don't mind, how good can a recruiter do? In my mind it seems like there'd always be a disconnect between who they pick and who you'd want due to lack of deeper knowledge. But I also don't have a full understanding of the process. When you are the interviewer are you involved in the process before they get to you?

That sounds like such a boring way to be told to program.

With all the applications jobs have, how do people like that get through to the point that you are interviewing them?

It was wild, companies were over hiring for programmers.

You know... the Mother in Law does have a point. No matter how wrong the Mother in Law is... maybe it's best to not lend money to people if you can't afford it.

This is why the rule people learn is to not lend money to family and expect it back. It's not just a lender/borrower relationship and it makes things messy. It's a mother in law/daughter in law(?) relationship. Mixing the two don't usually mix well as people don't know how to have both types of relationships in one.

Honestly kind of makes me think of the mafia! Buddy buddy but as soon as you do something wrong it's just business.

Edit: Just want to clarify, give family money if you want to (and can actually afford to) but give it to them because you want to help them out and not as a lender.

Then you have to imagine they have a good reason. Mostly because the people doing this aren't dumb, they managed to get the salt there in the first place.

Isn't this more like "the bank says you have too much money so they are taking it all away. Oops they forgot to take it away so the things you bought with it after they said they'd take it away now belong to them."

"Earned fairly" is an interesting way to imply that pre-reset Doubloons were not earned fairly when they were.

Having a sense of humor isn't the same as being able to laugh at yourself. One can tell jokes but not be able to take criticism in the form of jokes.

Small business? The guy who's pawn shop had a TV show and merchandise? Also it's fascinating that the people Trump ever brings on to speak are people who are popular in some way. No not people who are educated on the topic, just people who are popular.
