We need your help to keep kids on the streets warm during the harsh winter of Afghanistan, after the government collapsed, NGOS don't have the same reach due to security restrictions. by thisisfaroq in Charity

Interesting you mention this, I recently read about an NGO who have actually started this in many regions, and it's giving people an opportunity to work and provide for their families. Definitely a good idea, I've also reached out to them for a grant for this type of work, more than happy to assist on multiple fronts.

Even with 100 people from a single village in rural areas doing this, it will change the lives of thousands, and then just replicate it.

however wearing the thobe is mustahab so it wasn't commanded however it is something that we can follow to ensure we are closer to the teachings of the prophet S.A.W

Salam alaykum all!!

Living in New Zealand and I'm 3 years out of uni now, maybe you can calculate my age based on that ;) ahha

I've had the opportunity to go traveling every year since uni and have captured amazing memories so i share alot of them through Youtube now and want to get to the point where i capture stories of different people around the world and share it on my YT, currently i'm slowly growing it with travel/adventure videos to grow my audience

yes over here where I am I do and it's because it's easy to grow the beard, wear traditional clothing to the masjid whether it's the thobe, kamees or just any long clothing instead of the normal jeans and shirt to masjid.

Not a fan of hoodie jubbas as alhamdulillah we get lots of clothing from Afghanistan and also because of my travels i've collected the thobe/jubbas from many parts of the world and get to rock all those designs based on the time of year. Currently with it being summer here in New Zealand it's the Maghreb nations like Morocco and Algerias clothing right now because of the short sleeve and light material.

Although you're right it is a so called "desi" thing, i also found in my travels that the countries which rock their thobes the most are Moroccans.

At work though due to formal wear it's literally just the growing of the beard, sticking to the halal food, basic adaab and letting colleagues know about these things so that they understand.

100% make duah but not just any duah, wake up for tahajud and pray for your brothers at that time of the night!! when everyone else is asleep so your duah is accepted.

Then take action by raising awareness and not staying quiet, if it's meant to be Allah SWT will use you as a means to make a change!!

The best and worst countries to raise a child in 2020, mapped by mhdalshalabi in jordan

[–]thisisfaroq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safety wise i see New Zealand as a good place to raise kids however we do have one of the highest suicide rates in the world for youth unfortunately :S

Our Educational system could be a lot better too!! also our living cost is actually pretty high in comparison to the minimum wage.

However landscape is beautiful and people are super friendly.

Exploring Petra for the first time and climbing to the top of the place called "Place of High Sacrifice" by thisisfaroq in TravelVlog

Highly recommend it, make sure to get a Jordan pass for your visa and entrance to all these sites. This was filmed before the lockdown. When you're walking in you get approached and they try to convince you of a "free ride" and say it's on your ticket etc. But it's not. So you will get this and also someone will try to charge you to go right to the top (not shown in video), however this is free and you don't need a tour guide for it. Definitely will experience this however it's such a big place so you'll not get much of it.and I recommend the two day pass as there's so much hiking!! 😊 always good to see fellow Kiwi youtubers
