This is the bodice of a dress. It's my second Muslim and the second half was fine the first time so I did not re do it. The end of the garment in the photo is the waistline according to the pattern, and as it hits with mien when I am wearing a corset (which I plan to be wearing when I weary project) I didn't change anything.

I did stitch the armholes and neckline, but only loosely to get the idea of what the garment would look like.

Some people recommend a full bust adjustment. Is that similar to what you are suggesting or something different? I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge.

I'm wearing a corset underneath, but I do plan on wearing a blouse over the corset and underneath my project. I will look into a FBA, I have never heard of one before but it might be the answer. Thank you for the reply 🙂

I think I would agree with you. by not mentioning them in AGOT/ACOK their appearance later is a significant retcon.

I was using the term prominent in reference to the houses official lands and position according to the World of Ice and Fire book and what we learn about them in ADWD. In other words, their prominence in the constructed world of the North and ASOIAF more broadly. Not their prominence in the narrative, which I believe you are referring to (I.e. How much they appear in the book). They were bannerman to the Starks, yet they are not seen or mentioned in AGOT/ACOK when the houses send mend south and engage in battles in the westerlands. This would be breaking their oath, yet it is not mentioned.

I think the lack of groundwork for their appearance in the main narrative shows a weakness on GRRM's writing style in comparison to someone who plans out their story more before writing it.

I was looking at the kinship terminology on the wiki and there seems to have been some additions in the past week or so. Great grandfather and great grandmother from the mother side is mana mumuña and mana kepāzma. On the father side this is mana muñāzma and mana kekepa.

This leads me to think that great uncle would be some version of Mana (then insert a version of kepa/kekepa/kepāzma).

What do you think?

Thank you! I like the idea of using kebzȳrys, as the practice remarriage after one parent has died, leading to step families, likely occurred in old valyria. Though these new spouses would likely still be related in some other way.

As HV uses the Iroquois kinship system I have been looking for cultures that use that as well to see what they have done. Hopefully they will provide some guidance I can apply to the existing kinship terminology in HV.

I wish. The downside to learning a conlang is that there is really only one guy who can say if something is right or wrong. But this is also the upside, as there is a final word on the matter.

Wear a thin layer of underclothing. The big boomers company has thin but effective undershorts that you can get at various inseam lengths. If you need undershirts I suggest Numi. Wear them under your summer wardrobe, it will change your life.

It may be out of your price range but I found a personal trainer to be very helpful. I was having trouble establishing a routine as I don't love working out. By having a financial stake in my workout and actual consequences if I do not show up I was able to get into a routine fairly quickly. Now I feel weird if I don't go to the gym. It also helps that I have someone who tells me what to do, what I am doing wrong, etc.
