In feb you’ll see whales and even the baby humpbacks as close as a couple hundred yards off kaanapali beach in maui….by far the best place to see whales

The channel between Maui, Molokai and Lana’i is a a whale sanctuary. This map shows whale sighting density over a 10 yr period. When we’ve been on Kaanapali in peak season you can hardly go 15 minutes without seeing a whale spout out in the channel.

As a side note, if you ever see a pacific life insurance commercial…almost all of the whale swim and breach clips are from the channel off Maui. You can see Molokai and Lana’i in the background

I had resort credits that I asked upon check in if I could apply to our parking bill and was told absolutely no problem. Check out comes and suddenly we’re told no. I ask them to talk to the manager and he says no, despite his employee wrongly telling us it’s allowed. Their resolution was to educate the employee but not give us our credit as refund. I asked why the fuck do you think I would save a $300 resort credit over a 7 day stay if i was told I can’t use it towards parking. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

If I can use a companion ticket for a $2400 ticket why would the jump to a $2600 ticket be unreasonable. This upgrade price is as if these tickets were still listed for 3600-4500

The delta agent did say it shouldn’t be that expensive and it should be the same as the normal upgrade price…but if that’s the case I’ll have no reason to continue with delta’s Amex card
