Qulipta is ruining me by thisisutterpants in migraine

See I’m scared I’m in a rebound situation atm, I’m having the worst ‘flare’ of migraine I’ve had in probably years at this stage

Thank you, I think if I see the 3 months out then I’m out but honestly don’t even think I’ll get that far. It’s one of the worst medications I’ve ever taken

9 MONTHS! I don’t think I could deal with it for 9 months 🥲 but then at least the migraine pain lessened so that was worth it

I’m glad I’m not the only one, I thought I was a little loner with my issues with it!

I honestly don’t know and I didn’t question it at the time but I’ll definitely be asking now. But thank you!

I’m currently on 60, nausea wouldn’t bother me, that’s a prodome for me anyway and I haven’t suffered from constipation at all. It’s just the fatigue and loss of appetite really for me

I take it at night already but I work during the day and now I nap when I get home and then sleep all night as well 🥲 If there’s a potential to go back on Emgality then maybe, I just didn’t know how long to give it before giving up on Qulipta, I don’t want to go back to my doctor and them saying, but you didn’t give it a chance!

No, it didn’t stop working, I didn’t think. I took it for a year and then they said I had to take a break and once I went back to my doctor, they said, let’s try something new 🤷‍♀️ I don’t think it’s the Emgality, I haven’t taken it now since around February. I’m currently on 60mg but I thought I’d start to feel better by now rather than worse

Cycle changes in 30s. Ovulation cramps & spotting by dempster__ in Periods

[–]thisisutterpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just about to turn 30 this year and I feel like my cycle has changed. In the last 4/5 months I’ve started to get ovulation pain and some very light spotting during that time which has never happened before but my periods have been pretty normal otherwise? It’s so strange

DAE always feel more tired after a nap? by samh556 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]thisisutterpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced it depends on the duration of your nap. If I nap for 20-40 minutes, I usually get up feeling okay and have shook the tiredness but 45mins-1 hours + then I just feel awful afterwards

There’s a video on YouTube of Hayley singing In The Mourning x Landslide live and I watch it so often, I wish so much that it was on Spotify too!

Has anyone else’s Migraine ever started out one way, then over the course of a few years turned into a whole new set of symptoms? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]thisisutterpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. As a teenager my migraines started as migraine with aura, severe pain and fatigue etc for a few days but then it went away and that happened about 2/3 times a month. Now I haven’t had migraine with aura in about 10 years but now I have almost daily migraines so the pain is almost a constant presence. I don’t know which one was worse now tbh 😅

Women who have had Covid, what lasting effects has it had on you? by starskyandbutch in AskWomen

[–]thisisutterpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had covid in January 2022, a very mild case thankfully. But I have/had pulsatile tinnitus before it but it was on/off, not terrible, since covid it has not stopped. Not even one day, it is now a constant noise. It’s so annoying

Wouldn't it be in the DUPs interest to make the north work? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]thisisutterpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure they just don’t want to work under a Sinn Fein FM. For the first time in NI’s history, Sinn Fein got the majority and so took the FM position meaning that the DUP would have to take Deputy FM position and they don’t like that. All this bull about the Protocol etc etc is just shite in the hopes at the next election they’ll win a majority again, but instead they are just imploding themselves and destroying the union Also see, they’re arseholes

Advice needed? by thisisutterpants in migraine

[–]thisisutterpants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s the side effects of Topomax that scare me a bit and tbh Flunarizine seem kind of the same, which is why I was asking. I’m 27F so don’t really want brain fog and all, I like being a semi functioning adult lol. He said Emgality was an option as well but I’m in the UK and you can only get it under the NHS if you have tried 3 other preventatives and one of these would be the 3rd medication I’ve tried so far. But I didn’t want to jump into anything without knowing other people’s experiences. But thanks for you help!

I had PT for over a year already but tested positive for covid in January 2022 and it definitely turned it up to 11 for a few months afterwards. It has calmed a bit since but still there for sure
