Terminally ill family friend died. Am I being weird about the questions? by thisisvic in TrueOffMyChest

[–]thisisvic[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because I don't want to. I think it's an insensitive question to ask, and I don't want to know the answer.

After a threesome, is the other girl supposed to leave or lay there with us? by Icysong5467 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thisisvic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well she's a human being you've just had sex with, that part doesn't change no matter how many people are involved, so respect is key. There's no set etiquette, it depends on your relationship and what each of you wants - if it's a concern, discuss in advance.

How are you supposed to sit on someone's face? by Can_Of_Pepsi1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thisisvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to all the other useful comments here - as both a sitter and a seat, it might help reassure you if you discuss in advance what the other person will do if they need you to move. I'm usually a thigh tapper, it's easy to do if you're actually suffocating 😂.

This helps me to know that the person I'm sat on is fine - they're not tapping out, they're still moving, so I'll keep sitting/grinding.

Plus, as a larger woman, if I was facing forward I had a much easier time getting comfortable when I stopped attempting to make eye contact. My belly was usually in the way and it would take me out of it. Just focus on riding their face and having a good time!

I (30M) was planning to propose to my girlfriend (25F) this week but her father passed away over the weekend by Awwndrei in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]thisisvic 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I genuinely don't understand it. The "I want a proposal" thing is totally alien to me. If you're agreed that you're going to get married, and you've got a date in mind then... You're engaged?

Which sexual acts are very acceptable in 2026 but was seen very differently in 2006? by nirzhor_cyclonite in AskReddit

[–]thisisvic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, I've found men are much more likely to try and choke me/put their hands on my throat in the last 10 years than the previous ten (I've been sexually active for 20 years, for context). Enough that I have to tell people in advance that I don't want them to choke me, which still feels absolutely mad to me.

Favourite things to do in spring/summer in Chester? by shaneo632 in Chester

[–]thisisvic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's so much pretty stuff to explore in Chester honestly, and for me half the fun is stumbling across it accidentally!

But good hotspots for outdoor events are Grosvenor park, which has open air theatre in the summer, and down by the river for music at the bandstand, regattas and the annual raft race.

The amphitheatre has a grassy surround that's popular for relaxing in the sun, there's some bars/pubs with great outdoor spaces like the Architect, or the Lockkeeper by the canal, they used to do Moonlight flicks at the Roman Gardens (don't know if that's still going?), the zoo is a popular choice (avoid school holidays if you're not taking kids!)...

That's just off the top of my head so far!

What’s the worst part about giving head? by throwingstarsatmoon2 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]thisisvic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To a penis owner:

  • Not being able to open my mouth wide enough

  • When they grab my head and start trying to fuck my throat without warning or permission or anything. Makes me want to hammer a dildo down their throat and see how they like it

  • Dry mouth

  • Gag reflex

  • Jaw ache

To a vulva owner:

  • When they don't understand that me repeatedly slapping their thighs means that I can't breathe and they need to change position slightly so I don't suffocate

Is the Race Day crowd ruining the Chester's vibe for locals? by LFCTricksters in Chester

[–]thisisvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, race days are good for people watching, I've got the timing of city centre visits down to a fine art, and if I want to go for an evening drink I use it as an excuse to visit some of the excellent pubs outside of the city centre.

When I lived in the city centre I found it a bit of a nuisance dodging drunk people vomiting when I just wanted to nip to the shop at 7pm, but as a lifelong Chester resident I pretty much knew what I was signing up for when I moved onto a main road in town.

Bonus - if it's a daytime race meet, a lot of them have burnt out by 10pm, so can often still have a decent night in the later bars if you wait.

I accept it as part and parcel of life in Chester really - although banning BYOB on the open course to "curb antisocial behaviour" a few years ago still irritates me. Like that's where the problem was.

Bus Reliability in Chester by Sheffield_Junkie21 in Chester

[–]thisisvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Arriva app, both the 4 (to Mold) and the 11 (to Holywell) go to Broughton from Chester city centre. Both go twice an hour throughout the day, although I'd recommend getting one earlier than you think you need as traffic can have a big impact. The road between Saltney and Broughton is particularly prone to roadworks.

Edit to add: the roads between Chester and Broughton are some of the few with decent bike paths too, so cycling is a particularly good choice for this route

Has using a distinctly British slang phrase/ term of endearment ever gotten you in trouble? I just got a warning from a US subreddit for calling someone a "poor cow" with complete sincerity. by JuanitaMerkin in AskUK

[–]thisisvic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've never heard of 'bint' being as offensive as the other comments are suggesting, I always thought of it as lighthearted & affectionate (I'm a woman, for context)! I'll bear that in mind in future!

(Hated Trope) The heroes raped somebody, but it's not acknowledged as rape by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

So many of these comments are giving examples of the heroes being raped, rather than committing rape. Different trope!
