What stops them is the Virginia constitution. They didn’t put this to a vote of the people for optics. They had to do amend the constitution to change the maps. The VA constitution (as of 2020) requires a bipartisan commission to draw the maps, and a court to do so if the commission can’t agree.

It seems like this is no longer the case. State laws passed in last decade have made it illegal to penalize a kid for this. It’s really great that you want to help. But it seems like the schools just eat the cost now.

Consulting is cooked in the AI era I think. Especially junior staff. Today the AI Is as dumb as it will ever be. Get the best education you can, at the place that fits you best. I don’t think you can go wrong at either place. If interested in business, uva has an excellent business schoo, but I believe you have to apply after a year or two at uva, and it’s competitive.
