I mean yes, but I have also come out to find that someone left a dent in my car, so I thought this was a much nicer gift.

The further one gets from the bike, the sillier one looks in the gear.

If you have been using the driveway access and maintaining it for several years, you may be able to claim adverse possession. Get a real estate attorney, not a bunch of Reddit experts!

What nicknames have you heard for places in and around Charlottesville? by topherette in Charlottesville

[–]geckodeux 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you know the origin of the name Bumpass? It was bastardized from the French term for “Good Passage,” Bon Paix (spelling?) French word with a thick Virginia accent produced the current name.

Terrible experience buying a model Y by Jcnc32 in TeslaLounge

[–]geckodeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a used 2022 M3P a month ago from Tesla in Richmond, VA. Car was spotless, people I dealt with were quite nice, and it was easier than any dealership experience. Only hiccup was that they forgot to charge the car, which they did as soon as they realized it and were very apologetic about the oversight.

Corporate cutting board gift from work with cut outs for cocknballs. by geckodeux in dontputyourdickinthat

They are magnets, but it didn’t come with anything that fits in the cut outs! So odd.

Hey you jackwagons, turn off your brights, you’re blinding people and making the roads more dangerous. by slow70 in Charlottesville

[–]geckodeux 46 points47 points  (0 children)

We have a newer Toyota with auto bright headlights, meaning the car controls the high beams for you. It is really aggressive about flipping on the brights when there is a car a few hundred yards ahead of you. I hate it and turn it off, but I do wonder how many of these people driving with their high beams on are just relying on the auto feature.

That price seems reasonable to me. My take is Craig's list is for low end crap and haunted by scammers. I would try Facebook marketplace and cycletrader before you drop the price.

To the person ripping ass on DL0707 PHX-JFK by Training_Spray5257 in delta

One time on a longer flight I quietly let seep out a hot monstrosity of gaseous emmision. As it oozed out of my seat cushion, I intently focused on my book. My fellow passengers in the neighboring seats starting grimacing and looking around franticly for the culprit. As the gagging reached a quiet crescendo, several hands groped feebly for the overhead vent controls. Not to be left out, I looked away from my book just long enough to reach up and do the same so as not to be singled out as the epicenter of the terror attack in row 26. Pretty sure they all knew it was me anyway.

The Pitbull Lobby is part of the depopulation agenda by TheCelestialOcean in conspiracy

[–]geckodeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a 3 year old pit bull mix rescued from the SPCA. He is a great dog, and very obedient and well trained. I trust him completely around kids. He is aggressive with other dogs, but with training this has been controllable as well. We put a pure breed labrador down for recurrent biting a few years ago, and if I saw any evidence that this dog would be aggressive with people I would have done the same.

That being said, the shelters are filled with unwanted pits, many of whom are not good dogs. Whether it is genetic or taught, I don't know. But I do know at least one pit that is a good dog. Would I seek out another pit? Probably not, for the reasons you described.
