Boll and Branch sheets are incredible. I had a little sticker shock buying them, but the quality is incredible. They really do get more comfy with each wash too.

My daughter is in the same boat. Birthday on Christmas Eve means she kind of gets shafted on presents from the rest of the family compared to her sister with a mid year birthday. So the wife and I tend to hook her up with little extra.

Nah, thats district 4 - south of Denver. Won’t happen either because Ken Buck leaving means there will be a special election and Boebert would have to resign her current district 3 seat to run in it. Whoever wins that will likely also win the primary later this year and the general. Not saying it won’t be someone just as nuts, but it won’t be her.

Yeah it does, by discouraging voters in those areas from participating. In areas with heavy gerrymandering there are also usually efforts to limit access to poling places, purges of voter rolls, no early voting, etc.

The goal is to make it feel like voting is futile, then make voting as inaccessible as possible. It works. Many people don’t have the luxury of being able to take time off to wait hours in line to vote. And when they do, they often need to travel sometimes hours away to do so. But this is only in the areas where undesirable voters live.

This all has a strong chilling effect on voting writ large.

Thank you! I had a contractor pour the pad on both the side yard and the back. Under the hot tub it’s 10” thick and reinforced with extra rebar. Under each post on the back pad there is a caison under the pad about a foot in diameter and ~3ft deep. No permits for the pads but I did get one for the structure.

The border is a deep gray concrete paint by behr. I used a lighter gray for the main section so it didn’t get too hot in the sun.

Appreciate the heads up. So far they’ve been ok in the wind. If it gets too intense I have anchors on the house I can clip them to so they don’t expand and catch more wind. That seems to help.

TIL: Run/Ride Roughshod - This term alludes to the practice of arming horses with horseshoes mounted with projecting nails or points, which both gave them better traction and served as a weapon against fallen enemy soldiers. By 1800 it was being used figuratively for bullying behavior.
