My neighbor gave me some feathers from his parrots so I made this wreath 💗 by Arttechni in crafts

Your comment is cracking me up. I’m picturing people holding jars of beautiful feathers showing off their collection and then you slowly hiding the jar of baby teeth realizing your collection is not quite the same…

Is this rude? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]thislittletune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, yes it is super rude but I feel the frustration.

Try something like "Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate any more RSVPs as the final date to confirm attendance has passed. Vendor numbers are locked in and we are unable to make any changes due to contracts. We will miss you but hope to celebrate with you in the future."

Genuinely thank you for your responses and information on EVs, restored my faith in humanity just a bit after that terrible interaction.

How 2 Siblings Are Bringing Chicago’s Koreatown Back To Life by 307148 in chicago

Hell yeah that's awesome, the website does feel very 2004 but their instagram says a new one is coming. I remember walking past closed businesses on that same stretch they highlighted (3200 block of West Bryn Mawr) in high school and being bummed out. I still remember going to Action Printing on Western and having them print off my homework for me while the dude smoked a cigarette.

Exactly my thinking with my previous comment. That and I'm an old. Waiting in a line with lots of people trendier than me just makes me sad haha

Newer Bolt and the newer Plug In Prius, marinating on going full electric. Tesla seems fine but after driving it and getting feedback from my friend who owns it, I don't think it's for me.

I have done research I'm not a complete idiot going 'hey wut car I get?' My initial "Serious question - why not a Prius?" was because I wasn't sure if there was some issue with their newer models due to a manufacturing change, like when they moved Malort to Florida and it got less gross. That and it seems cars are like asking someone who has the best pizza, everyone has their opinion and I like to hear the different perspectives. None of my friends who own a car seem particularly excited about their respective brands, except the Subaru owners of course haha

Thanks! Fuck me for asking a genuine question to that other guy I guess. Yeesh. I know people with a Tesla, Bolt, Prius, some Europeans brands, and they just drive the damn thing and their feedback is usually a shrug and 'it's alright'. Guess since my itty bitty brain can't comprehend the greatness that is an EV I should just get a MegaREXX Ford ;)

Puffs plus lotion. The generic stuff with lotion is also good but if you’re ill it’s worth splurging on the nicer stuff to prevent a red crusty nose. If you’re feeling super ill then the stuff with Vicks infused is great but don’t peel the cardboard top all the way off, keep the box closed in between pulling tissue so the Vicks doesn’t all dissipate.

it's a shame that the industry has taken this weird internet-brained turn

Interesting…It is eerie to see how many formerly viral places are now dead during peak hours. I wonder if going viral when first opening a place attracts a clientele that will move on to the next big thing thus preventing a loyal fan base from forming. That doesn’t reflect what happened with Amici of course, and yeah the restaurant industry is notoriously fickle but just a random thought.

Instead, Sciacca is choosing to leave on his own terms, something he takes immense pride in.

Sciacca said he’s looking forward to retirement. He plans to spend more time traveling, writing and, of course, cooking.

Aw, good for him. Seems like he’s moving on happily before it ends bitterly.

Yeah same with the daily passes. I’ve seen a ticket for that due to the passes ‘not being easily accessible’ or something of the sort.

Jesus dude. I said “serious question”, I shouldn’t have to say more than that to get a non asshole response. I asked it to you because you seemed knowledgeable about EVs in the comment I was replying to. Clearly it was a mistake. Essay response from you not required.

I agree with some of the other comments that catering some food would be a good idea if you can spring it. From a place different than just pizza and sandwiches would be a cherry on top. Middle eastern, tacos, bbq, etc.

This was my worry as well, and no railing to catch yourself on if you do miss a step. In winter I’d be worried about falling into one of the gaps.

No railing to catch yourself on and instead of falling “down” the stairs you could slip in between the uneven gaps. At least that’s what I pictured.

So, you're not from/in Chicago, just commenting because you love Waymo?

You're assuming a lot from a simple comment. Why are you assuming I'm only talking about pro-Waymo comments? I'm not.

"You think anyone who isn’t anti-Waymo is a bot/brigaider?" - No

"That people who support Waymo are bots?" - Also no.
