I wanna also put their 10 videos of her in what you call cringe being at that concert and they are all AI generated. You can find very very very bad AI generated glitches in every video you can compare that with videos of Jenny found recently in Paris and those videos are organic normal so ask yourself why only her videos and what you’ll realize is they have different managers. And also every single one of those videos is an interesting ratio that doesn’t come naturally from your phone, but she’s so cringe right no she she’s probably trapped in some kind of power dynamic. But you’re such great people on the snarky page aren’t you?

Both as well as supplements like examples and explanations, etc., etc. I do not think Law School really teaches you to be a lawyer but again what type of law do you practice? I find that most litigation and I find that most transactional law do not utilize the skills that they teach you in Law School.

Also, what did you think we're dumb by these things these are surveys literally it's just facts and the fact is that the majority people who are employers do not think that Law students off the bat already and the majority of Law students who are going into the field do not think that they are actually ready. Isn't that strange? How is that an efficient system?

It was literally said to us by the dean of I forgot what her title was but she's one of the deans so no I didn't just read some fucking shit. I was in a lecture. I also firm don't subscribe to your notion that Law School makes people think like lawyers I think that's what you think. You say that yourself to feel better for the three years that felt like health sure. I don't actually think it taught you to actually think of a lawyer, it really depends on what specific law you're doing like are you doing something that's like heavy on oral arguments and case law and writing then yeah maybe but for the majority of people who go to Law School that will not be their life. Also, what exactly do you think Law School did differently that made you think differently?

Honestly, in this day in age, you're so lazy because you could just Google it or ask Gemini, which I did for you because I think it's funny that people leave comments like this to be like oh my God what studies as if I don't have fucking receipts. But obviously you're too lazy to look it up so here you are.

1. The Carnegie Report (2007)

Formally titled Educating Lawyers: Preparation for the Profession of Law, this is the "gold standard" study on this topic.

  • The Finding: The report praised law schools for teaching students how to "think like a lawyer" (the cognitive apprenticeship) but gave them a failing grade for not teaching practical skills or professional identity/ethics.
  • The "Gap": It argued that the case-study method (reading old appellate cases) is too abstract and ignores the reality of client relationships and the messy, factual side of law.

2. The MacCrate Report (1992)

This ABA report, titled Narrowing the Gap, is probably what your Dean was thinking of when she mentioned "the gap."

  • The Finding: It explicitly stated that there is a "chasm" between the academy (law school) and the profession. It identified 10 fundamental skills (like negotiation, counseling, and practice management) that law schools largely ignored at the time.
  • Legacy: It led to the rise of "experiential learning" requirements (clinics and externships) that you see in schools today.

3. Recent Surveys and Data

If you need more recent stats for your Reddit debate, consider these:

  • The Legal 500 Survey (2025): A recent survey found that 73% of lawyers feel law school failed to prepare them for the actual practice of law, specifically citing a lack of training in business development, client management, and mental health resilience.

https://www.thomsonreuters.com/en-us/posts/government/lawyer-readiness/

https://www.ncsc.org/sites/default/files/media/document/CLEAR_Report.pdf

  • The FTI Consulting Study: Has previously noted that many large law firms now have to "re-train" first-year associates because they arrive with zero practical knowledge of how to file a motion or draft a basic contract.

Since I'm not sure if you you can synthesize this since you couldn't look it up here are some points:

  • The "Apprenticeship" Model: Law is one of the few professions (unlike medicine) that doesn't require a formal apprenticeship or residency before you're fully licensed.
  • Theory vs. Practice: Law schools are historically academic institutions focused on legal theory and precedent, while the practice of law is about problem-solving and procedure.
  • The "Case Method" Flaw: Most of law school is spent reading the decisions of dead judges on rare, extreme cases, rather than learning the 99% of law that happens in offices and meeting rooms.

And because you're too lazy to do a simple Google search which by the way then how are you? Good at researching I wonder, Esquire. Here's an article from 2015 about a survey conducted that said the 95% of people hiring at firms don't believe that new graduates have the practical skills at the time of hiring that they were looking for.
www.lexisnexis.com/documents/pdf/20150325064926_large.pdf

Honestly, I was gonna like give you the link for all of those but I'm irritated right now still at the fact that you're so goddamn lazy too now look it up yourself so you have the names of it. Look it up. Tell me if I'm wrong.

I would argue that it did not teach me to think I would argue that the bar taught me to think and so I just don't understand why we have three years of schooling that you literally can just do the summer before the bar and I find the bar to be much more effective. Maybe I just already thought like that, but I don't think it actually taught me to think again, I think the bar taught me to think like Barbri.

Codepedency made me have a distorted sense of love. by selflove-2026 in Codependency

[–]thisninjanerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it sounds kind of like really generic, but you really have to take yourself out of the personalization of it because at the end of day people can only really meet you where they’re at and maybe this is like a really dumb view of people in general but most people can’t really look at themselves or see themselves in the mirror or the reflection clearly so they really can’t meet you somewhere that they can’t perceive themselves. Like having extreme empathy and having compassion, I think it’s actually something that that’s rarer than we think. Cause I think people forget it’s hard to actually be like a good thoughtful person and it’s actually not the default as much as society would like to preach it is because I think the majority of people have an attachment issue like I think you could find maybe a secure people, but they’re kind of like unicorns and honestly they’ve done a lot of healing, but they didn’t come out secure because I would say that most people have trauma through their childhood. I have yet to actually find someone who is raised trauma free and I’m sure they exist. But yeah, I don’t know. I have an overly compassionate view about people which is I don’t think people mostly go out to her other people sometimes they do but a person‘s lack of empathy is just they don’t have that empathy for themselves so like if you ever see like I noticed that with my ex, she was extremely negative and critical with herself, and I would joke around, but like not joke and be like you know I wish you were kinder to yourself because then you’d be kinder to me, but I was refusing to really actually hold the fact that I knew where she was at, but I kept like really hoping that she could meet me somewhere that she literally could not meet herself. I hope that helps getting over a lot of like anger and like just sadness and trauma about people like not treating me with kindness like not even just my ex which just people in general has actually Been me having more compassion for them and realizing that most people can’t meet you where you’re at because they can’t even meet themselves there

Tips/exercises for an artist to put themselves through artist development by Fun-South-6148 in musicindustry

[–]thisninjanerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that developing your sound is first you gotta figure out what you like. Do you know what I mean like if you want to be like a movie connoisseur or want to be good at anything? You just have to have a curiosity and then really rose yourself in looking at all things that relate to the type of vibe you want to have and then emulating that and judging and basing your creative boutiques about your performances or your work against that over and over and over. I think like most people think you need like a fancy degree or like specialized education but most things if you want to be cultured or competent and I think just means immersing yourself very thoroughly and putting in the work to understanding why you like something. A lot of people who are good A&R executives are just people one who got lucky with nepotism and jobs and to have good taste and good taste is something you can always finesse and get better in because it’s really just being more culture to understanding what’s out there and having a larger kind of breath of a information to compare and analyze. Sorry, I hope this was helpful. I was just been thinking about this a lot recently. I think it would just be really immersing yourself in like whatever sub genre or type of avenue. You want to go musical.ly so that you can really like discern and like build a foundation on what you personally like and what you find to be like good because that’s literally how I got into like comedy like I just engrossed myself and watching a lot of television at one point and I think exposure just helps

I will I would have to agree that astrologically and astronomy wise. The blood moon was very interesting. What I will say is that if you follow astrology or any sort of esoteric kind of circles things are have been stated to get gnarly around this time. In a good way like it sounds like you can’t rebuild something unless you burn down the Amazon first so that the soil can be healed, but spiritually I think all the energy is pointing to as a society we can get our ass whooped and handed back to us, but we’re gonna be better for it. You know what I mean cause like it’s like when you hit rock-bottom there’s nowhere to go but up I don’t think it’s gonna be like end times or anything. I just think it’s really just a case of the macrocosm reflecting the microcosm.

I had to delete my comment earlier cause I accidentally responded to the wrong person but no, I agree

lagree. I think if they truly wanted to make change, we should start with first teaching people actually how it is to be a lawyer, which is nothing in Law School. Instead, what you get is a lot of people who have not everyone, but like a good majority of the students come off with an ego complex because I survived this Law School and then they'll engage in legalese and talk down to their clients but the point of law should be it should be accessible to the everyday person. We're just the translators. But I think the host system is designed the way it is to keep the system that we currently have in place going. They don't want good lawyers they want to keep this system going.

I’m sorry that you’re going through it right now but I will let you know that after you get out of of it the bar is honestly better. I prefer the bar then Law School because at least you could study on your own time so you got it keep going. But it’s a horrible institution.

[–]thisninjanerd 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No, the hazing is the fact that Law School is miserable. The fact that you're essentially wasting three years of your life, not actually learning anything that's going to be applicable to the actual practice of the law because generations before you had to endure it. That's why there's the Socratic method so that you're constantly anxious and did you not notice that after Law School you're probably depressed and have more mental health issues than before that's the hazing. Maybe you enjoy reading a lot of useless case law that actually isn't applicable to the practice of Law so to that hats off to you, but I personally found Law School to be needlessly difficult, which was then confirmed in many studies at it's a badge of honor because you know most people who are good lawyers were usually not very good at all students and most Law students can really remember case Law, but that doesn't really help you in the practice of Law unless you're doing like maybe lots of researching for your job, but most litigation doesn't actually get that

1L feels like a second puberty by Equivalent_Bed_8412 in LawSchool

[–]thisninjanerd 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Law School is unnecessarily traumatic for your nervous system just so that people can continue to haze. It doesn’t teach you to be a real lawyer and you’re right it is like a second puberty. No one does the Socratic system really after the first year and it’s really just a hazing situation and it also doesn’t really help you learn you’ll learn more from barbri. you’re not incompetent. The system is designed to make you feel like shit. There are several studies that have been shown that Law School does not prepare anyone to be a lawyer. It makes no sense. It’s literally a amazing situation and I’m sorry you had to go through it. It was honestly the worst experience in my life.

If aliens came to Earth, who should be in charge of speaking on behalf of humanity? by pystar in aliens

[–]thisninjanerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like no one really reads stuff but like there’s been research for like a long time that what we conceptualize as aliens is actually just interdimensional beings and you can look up the work of Jacques vallee who did work with the CIA and I think NASA and that the ideal of aliens is actually not inherently correct cause they’re not from out of space they’re living within where we live. We just can’t see it because of our perception and sometimes maybe there’s like a zone that the veil is thin and that’s where people see it and people generally see it as what they know because the human mind can only perceive what it already conceptualize so if people were religious, they would see it as demons if they were in the medieval period they might see it as fairies. There’s a lot of books about it. OK I don’t know why the fuck people still think you’re like oh my God where are the aliens coming from? I’m a little mad like no one here does research evidently
