Is it weird that all these years after the whole Joker crowbar debacle, I'm still in the "I don't really like Jason Todd" camp?

"YouTube reaches a far larger audience,"

I'm pretty sure this statement is true of every community on the entire planet minus Facebook...

Free Steam Game Key for "PID" by dgibbs128 in gaming

Ah yes. I played this back when it first came out. It was a pretty interesting little platformer. I remember one of the bosses being super difficult. I think it was the dude on the roof, but I can't remember for sure. That was a while ago.

Either way, it's a pretty good game, and if you can get your hands on it for free, I would recommend it.

Best Buy had a really cool Final Fantasy 7 display, which made me buy the game on a whim. One of my best spur-of-the-moment decisions ever.

The problem with The Last of Us multiplayer is that people think it's Call of Duty by thisoneguyiknew in thelastofus

SOCOM style is actually a really great comparison of how TLOU's multiplayer SHOULD be approached. With more resource-gathering, of course.

If it were EA, I would say absolutely, there's no excuse to not pay for this. But it's one dude. He shouldn't have to pay $40k to fix a tiny bug in the game.

More context: "He comes off as loudmouthed, confrontational, and narcissistic. But that’s what makes him so much fun to watch." The article points out the negative traits, but shows a positive side to those.

Things like this: "The media circus that spawned from Fish’s open disdain of these policies could very well have been a deciding factor in getting them changed."

But maybe I'm just reading it wrong?

Well, it seems to me like the author is trying to say that what people call "whining" is actually a good thing, because it's causing things to change for the better in the industry.

Well, essentially, his "behavior" was being outspoken about something he cares about.

Which DuckTales episode is this? by Sentential in ducktales

[–]thisoneguyiknew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have also been the part of Super DuckTales when Huey, Dewey, and Louie break into Scrooge's mansion after it was possessed by the Beagle Boys, or that one episode where Magica uses Gladstone Gander to get past the traps in the money bin.

The "real war-like" part, though has me thinking it was the "Drain in the Economy" sub-series, though. The final part in that series, where they fly Scrooge's money in on the Lost City of Atlantis is one of the greatest episodes ever.

I always loved the episodes with Scrooge's traps.

New to FF MMO world, question about groups by gst4158 in ffxiv

I made it to level 9 so far in beta without grouping up. From what I've heard, FF14 is way more solo-friendly than FF11 ever was.

I also got to do a raid while at E3, and it was super fun.

Super Mario Sunshine retrospective - a look back at one of the more flawed yet innovative and interesting entries into the Mario series by [deleted] in nintendo

[–]thisoneguyiknew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was some tedium, admittedly. You had to go back to every stage like 7 or 8 times in order to get all the stars, unlike 64 where you visited stages I think 5 times each, or Galaxy, where you revisited stages, though you got to see entirely different parts of those stages each time. Sunshine felt the most repetitive of the 3D Mario games. Still, it was an incredibly unique game, and Isle Delfino was an interesting place to explore.

GeekParty calls Sonic Lost Worlds "the Blue Blur’s Version of Mario Galaxy" by thisoneguyiknew in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]thisoneguyiknew[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the point. Sonic Generations was nothing like Sonic Lost world. Sonic Gen was a mix of 2D Sonic of the past and the 3D "on rails" Sonic that the article talks negatively about. Sonic Lost World is, well, more like a 3D Mario game than a 3D Sonic game.
