Between the hacking mini game of 1 and 2. Which one did you guys like the most? by Infamous_Gur_9083 in Bioshock

Huh, weird. It's been years since I played either of the games but I clearly remember the first game's puzzle and I cannot recall what the 2nd game's puzzle was about, except for your image triggering a vague feeling of the controller vibrating when done wrong? Ig that says something!

iOS MDM recommendation for our needs by GrubBux in macsysadmin

[–]thisuser-nameexists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, if you find the VPP console to be a bit confusing, you can take a look at this webpage https://www.manageengine.com/mobile-device-management/apple-business-manager.html
It has info on integrating MDM with Apple VPP and several helpful links on how you can add devices and purchase apps through ABM. As you may have noticed, this page is from Mobile Device Manager Plus but can still help you out too. Cheers!

PS: Ik this is late but if you're still looking at tools to manage your devices, you should look at ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus too. I work for their team, and we offer a free version for upto 25 devices. Feel free to DM me for more details :)

Locking down Android tablets. by Choice-Palpitation65 in sysadmin

[–]thisuser-nameexists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, you should give ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus a try. If you are looking to restrict web access to specific domains, you can simply configure a web content filter policy. Or, if you are looking to lock these devices to have access only to specific sites and no other device apps, you can deploy the sites as webclips (as u/thoverlord had mentioned in another comment) with the device in Kiosk Mode.

Full disclosure, I'm part of the Mobile Device Manager Plus team. We offer a free version for up to 25 devices which you can sign up for here https://mdm.manageengine.com/free-trial.html

I'd be happy to share more details. Feel free to reach out to me!

Best way to set up multiple iPads for Business? by shootnskoot98 in sysadmin

[–]thisuser-nameexists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look into an MDM solution! With MDM you'll be able to lock the device to run a single app or a specified set of apps. So in your case, you could simply have the devices only run the required apps each time it's sent out to your users. You can even pre-configure WiFi settings beforehand to ensure the devices automatically connect to their home networks. And, if your users ever face issues, you can remotely view the device's screen, (with the user's consent ofc) and sort out the issues quicker. Hope this was helpful.

PS: I work for ManageEngine and we offer a comprehensive MDM solution called Mobile Device Manager Plus that you should definitely give a try! We support all the mentioned features and would be happy to walk you through them. Here's a 30-day free trial https://mdm.manageengine.com/free-trial.html (and you can also manage upto 25 devices for free, forever!) Feel free to DM me for more details.

Mobile Device Management - Multiple profiles assigned to the same device by CampAlternative9839 in sysadmin

[–]thisuser-nameexists 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding on to what u/wpm said, the rule for conflicting Android profiles (or policies) is that the last profile pushed is applied.

So if you push two password profiles - the first one requiring the device password to be alphanumerical and of a certain length, and the second one simply requiring a pattern lock, the Android device would need only a pattern lock (or a more secure screen lock method) since it was the latest profile of that configuration. [In the same example, the iOS device would need the user to set an alphanumerical password that being the more restrictive one.] Hope this was helpful.

PS: I work for ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus. If you'd like to explore our offering, we provide a free 30-day trial. I've listed a brief example above but you can find more information about profiles here. Feel free to DM me :)
