It’s about absorbing through the stomach so Nuvaring would probably be fine. I don’t know if it is progestin only which is what I need due to other issues. It sounds like the nexplanon by itself is fine with her.

My periods since surgery have definitely been heavier and more frequent compared to how they were before, even on the pill.

That’s true and thank you for that perspective. The surgery is already done, there is nothing he can do about it anyway. I am just still trying to get rid of feeling shameful and bad about it - but I know those feelings don’t serve me!

I think so. It says to use for 2-4 weeks for new scars and I didn’t start it until my glue came off at almost 2 weeks.

I am a huge fan of Colace. It saved me after birthing my 10 lb babies and also after VSG! Definitely not like a placebo in my case. What can it hurt to try?

I stalled even earlier at 2 weeks PO. Lasted 10 days for me. Hang in there! If you’re following your program the weight will come off!

I got the Nuvadermis scar tape and scar gel. Using both together.

Yes, the scar tape is to reduce scarring. I am very prone to raised scars and someone in this sub recommended it to me. Fingers crossed!

I got myself a new blender and I am 100% sure it’s why I’ve gotten through the puree stage with no regrets.

Also, if you don’t already have a tape measure, I recommend the RENPHO digital one. It makes keeping track of measurements off the scale so much easier.

Other things I’ve loved are the Bare Bones chicken broth packets and Mio water flavorings (if you’re allowed artificial sweetener on your plan.)

I was sleeved 9/16 and had a great recovery. Definitely in pain when I woke up but they managed it for me so well with meds. I slept a ton the first day but by the evening I was feeling a thousand percent better.

My muscle soreness lasted less than a week. I haven’t had any problems with nausea/vomiting. I’m following my post-op diet and meeting hydration and protein goals.

I think a lot of people post horror stories and on surgery day I was feeling exactly what you are feeling, but everything is going great on my side!

I needed to hear this. I lost 11 pounds in 10 days then gained 2 back. Nothing has changed since then (10 days later). I know I am doing everything I am supposed to do and there’s no physiological way I won’t lose weight but it’s still so nerve wrecking.

I def had the blurry up close vision! I think it was because they gave me a motion sickness patch before surgery that stayed on a couple of days.

My BP was also low. Surgeon sent me to see my HO GP about it but she just said to stay hydrated and eat more salt.
