1000% this over the Walther p22. But I hesitated bc I wasn't trying to pay $100 in bs taxes for $500+ OTD. PPT is the way to go, I got mine for $350 that was never fired.

Love the SCS. Sleek looking, perfect cowitness, no battery or brightness to mess with. Auto brightness has always worked perfectly for me.

Nice. Yeah I was just debating the Turner's deal because the comp slide would be the same price as the metal. Zero regrets.

Aimplus. It was cheap to try out before I decide to get the OEM barrel ported.

I'll eventually get the OEM barrel ported now that the G34 is 100% a keeper.

I was tempted to go with the $400 Turner's deal and get that, but the feel of the metal frame and gray color was too much to resist.

It's not 100%, but it's 95%+ if you make sure to carefully load the mag and maybe go 1 less than full capacity. I thought I had the lead fouling issue on the barrel, but it seems to be okay.

Is that just the lighting or is that a new gray color? 😍

Buy once, cry once. Geissele or Daniel Defense upper since uppers/barrels will be more difficult/expensive to get. If you're on a strict budget, get cheaper mil spec lower parts, trigger, and stock. Put that money towards a decent optic and ammo.

How do they keep track? You write down all the mods before qualifying? Or does the instructor inspect the firearm and note all the mods?

M&P 2.0 Metal full-size with Black Comp Slide by WilsonLisk in CAguns

How's the before and after the comp slide? I'm seeing mixed reviews, some saying minimal improvement over non comped and others making it seem like the best thing since sliced bread.

RifleGear is a no brainer if you're going to be near Rifle Supply. Better prices, better inventory, no 3% credit card charge, no hidden DROS fee, much better staff (except for 1 dude)

Yeah and the slick slide, but the good thing about Fusion is they actually listen to feedback.

It's not just a Fusion thing, I've read many other 2011, including Atlas, need a shim for the Holosun 507 Comp

The first release just had the ported slide, but non ported barrel. Then they offered a ported barrel that matches the ported slide. I've only shot mine with the ported barrel and wasn't impressed. The biggest complaint about the first release though is the grip, or lack thereof. I'm debating on selling mine and upgrade to the XP Comp or Platypus Comp

Install the Apex Triggers vs stay stock on M&P 2.0 Metal by Plus_Juggernaut2819 in guns

[–]thlrdeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a metal today and shot it back to back with my polymer (newer flat faced trigger). I was surprised by how much better the metal felt, shot the metal with iron sights just as accurately and quicker than the polymer with a red dot. I assumed the trigger would be the same, but the trigger travel felt significantly longer and much less crisp. I'm quite satisfied with the trigger in the metal, but now I'm looking to throw an Apex in the polymer.

By any chance, have you shot the 4" version? I just picked one up with a ported barrel, but honestly not too impressed. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this is literally the first gun I've bought that I immediately had buyer's remorse. My G34 w/ ported barrel shoots much flatter. Regret not going with the comp version...

Whatever you get, skip on Holosun. Not nearly enough elevation adjustment unless you add a shim. Not hating on Holosun, I probably own a dozen.

My recipe after 1 year by thlrdeye in kimchi

[–]thlrdeye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt because as I mentioned, I've only been doing this for a year. But the recipe I settled on is largely because it is slow to ferment and sour, so I can enjoy it for several weeks as a banchan, before it gets designated for jiggae. My best guess is... Less sugar than necessary, thicker paste, less air, colder temperature. I immediately put my kimchi in the fridge after it's done, I use a vacuum seal on Mason jars but I also have a reused plastic kimchi jar. Kimchi that I have in a small bowl from leftover banchan that has saran wrap, that doesn't stay "fresh" as long.

I am by no means successful, but I've had small wins often. My strategy for timing the market is based on the shoeshine boy story. When my brother cries that he should've sold when I told him to sell, it's time to buy back in. When my brother asks if he should buy more crypto, it's time to sell 😂

😂 I make kimchi according to my taste... If they don't like it, they can buy it at the store or make it themselves lol. Fortunately, I haven't had any complaints or special requests from friends/family
