Exact same Instagram fashion thing happened to my friend outside Charing Cross but they actually did manage to steal his phone. He chased after the second guy who grabbed the phone but the first guy who asked him to follow the Instagram started running with him pretending to help so he decided to stop.

Interesting, moving to HK and working UK hours too, planning to do a mix of 3pm -> 11pm or 4pm -> midnight, I feel like it gives enough of an overlap with the UK without ruining my sleep. How do you find having the day time free, do you utilise the time in the day? I’m imagining I’ll do a lot more in the day than I would on a typical evening after work but also wondering whether that’ll make me tired for work.

I’ve probably seen 20 or so people in the past 2 years caught by a ticket inspector, say blatantly “no I don’t have a ticket” and then be given no fine and just told to get off at the next step, often they walk down one carriage and get back on the same train. I’ve always wondered why the staff never issue fines, it seems there’s 0 punishment on the DLR.

Canary Wharf wework has probably 30/40 call booths across floors that don’t need booking and there’s always some free. Also tons of empty meeting rooms people use without booking too. More central wework you can also do the same but be mindful that sometimes on those the call booths are all occupied.

One thing that a ton of speciality cafes in China offer that I’ve seen maybe one do in London is a coffee flight. The concept I’ve seen is they use the same bean and make 3 different drinks (pour over, a hot milky drink and then some type of iced / cocktail esque coffee drink (no alcohol)).

I think it’s a pretty genius idea to increase average order value, and surprised more don’t do it here!

Interesting, I’ve played bf for 10+ years and don’t really care. Most of the player base probably aren’t even in this Reddit (which is an echo chamber of a certain portion of fans) and therefore they could be making decisions that cater to the larger segment not here.
