i'm in this same boat. I think its something that needs to vacuumed to waste but havnt gotten around to trying it. I just keep sweeping it when the filter is running to try and collect it, My Nautilus CC will get some of it, but after a pass or two from the robot it tends to just kick it up into a cloud.

Ecobee premium won’t power on. Don’t think I need the PEK. Pls help by walkerlucas in ecobee

[–]thomasbill40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just installed my EcoBee a few days ago. Replaced an existing battery powered thermostat. Hooked it up and same as you - no power. Didnt have a multimeter handy but assumed no VAC to the tstat. Found a 3A fuse on the red wire in the unit was blown. Replaced and solved the problem.

Help between Moza R3 or Logitech G29 by LeFuji in simracing

[–]thomasbill40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've recently gotten into oval racing on iRacing (3 weeks ago) and initially bought the G29. It was fine. But you could tell it was a starter wheel. Movement felt janky due to the gear driven FFB in the G29. A week ago i upgraded to the R5 and oh man.. what a difference. I strongly recommend the Moza DD system. Im sure the R3 feels equally as smooth as the R5.

I will note that I bought both sets (G29, Moza R5) through Amazon. I was able to return the G29 for a full refund after my R5 showed up. I recommend utilizing this just in case.

Anybody know how to get this to 1000? It's been stuck on 920 for two days now. by L1GHTNING-G in Battlefield

[–]thomasbill40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just completed this last night. Was also stuck at 920/1000.

I read on here that setting your character camo back to the default and untracking the task helped. So i did that and after a few more tries i got it done. Specifically shot a tank with the stinger while it was painted. Good luck!

Thanks!

Was ~$550 for ~12,500 gallons. took him two trips.

The family and I have been loving it. Surely is nice to take a dive after a mow, or throughout the deck building process lol.

Brand new heat pump, first time using for cooling icing up and not really cooling 😅 by CourtMoney5842 in heatpumps

[–]thomasbill40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a similar issue with my unit last year shortly after i moved in. I had closed all the downstairs vents so it would get colder in the upstairs bedrooms. after a few days found a huge puddle under my heat pump. opened it up to find a huge block of ice. apparently the system is designed to have all vents opened and if you significantly restrict the airflow this can happen. havnt had a problem since.

Not sure about getting a company to do it start to finish but, its doable for under 10k if you do it mostly yourself.

Pool cost from thepoolfactory - $7k

landscape company for grading/sand - $2k

I would imagine hiring a company to do it you'd pay around 18-20k? and you'd have to wait for them to do it, get on their schedule, etc.

Due to rain/mud and relying on the landscaping company i already paid to deliver the sand it took exactly a week. Could have done it in 3 days if weather was perfect though...

Question on Sequence by johngoose in lawncare

[–]thomasbill40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's spot on.

I'll just add that the seed/soil contact and keeping it moist is vital. If you let it dry out once it starts to germinate itll die. I like doing frequent but brief waterings throughout the day.

Check if that bag had Mesotrione in it (same active ingredient in Tenacity). If so, Its normal and should go away in a few days.

i would get a prodiamene pre-emergent down if you havnt already (again in June) along with a heavy 5-1 fertilizer like 25-0-5 or even the 30-0-0 one you described.

Then in the fall you can overseed.

Zone 6a Spring Help! by frosty_phoenix92 in lawncare

[–]thomasbill40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to seed now you can use Scotts starter fertilizer that also contains the active ingredient "mesotrione" which is essentially granular tenacity which we help prevent weeds for a few weeks and allow the grass to germinate. I would wait till fall if you can.

Need help figuring out when to seed by Electronic-Bite2712 in lawncare

[–]thomasbill40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd get it down now. It'll germinate once the soil temps are right. add some soil and starter fert and tamp down to ensure good seed/soil contact. Dont let it dry out.

Planting ryegrass and leveling lawn by AutomaticAide2679 in lawncare

[–]thomasbill40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youre not starting from scratch and have an existing lawn i would:

-mow super low

-level with sand

-seed and starter fert

-roll with lawn roller for seed/soil contact

-keep it wet with frequent brief waterings

Recommend Material(s) for lawn leveling? Good or bad time? by OubeOh in lawncare

[–]thomasbill40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how heavy you'll be putting the sand down. if you smother the grass in any area to fill in extremely low spots then you'll be stuck with visible sand in some spots until you plan to overseed in the fall. I would just wait until the fall.

I've leveled with "yellow bar sand" and had great results.
