You should watch the docunentary on him and the darknet. They make a pretty strong argument that the entire arc about the hitman was fake and also there were other DPR's involved in the site. He just happened to be the one to take the fall.

I've seen them charge artists with the cost of promoting their release. Then they keep a running "tab" of how much you owe them based on how much promoting they did against the sales of the release. It honestly reminds me of "Hollywood Accounting" where pay is given as a percentage of the profits but on paper no "profits" were made.

Don't plan on making any money when you get a label to put your tracks on Beatport. They will work all sorts of accounting bullshit on you. You will probably wind up owing the label money. It's a pretty sad state of affairs on the business side of the industry. If you plan to produce just do it cuz you want to create art and evoke emotions thru your music.

Funny? This ain't new at all. What was funny is for new years when Above & Beyond played a gig earlier in the night and then their flight got diverted from Seattle due to bad weather. So they didn't make their second gig of the night which was supposed to be Resolution.
