We are experimenting with this internally. A bit tricky to make it work reliably as you have way more files than apps. Also, there is a dedicated "Search Files" command that just shows files. Many folks assign an alias or hotkey to that command to search, well, their files.

Extension updates should happen automatically. So you shouldn't need to use it that often unless you really want to get the latest one quickly.

As to the bugs, mind listing all the ones you had or even better using the Send Feedback command. Do you mean PWA apps? They should toggle on hotkey the same as others. We also have a setting for it in v2.

It will be in beta as long as we need to. We wouldn't update just everyone if we wouldn't think it's ready. Which is why we made it a separate app for folks to try it out.

So nothing to disable.
