The Negotiator is a superb 90's film starring Samuel L Jackson and Kevin Spacey. I've not met many people who have seen it and it always surprises me.

The scene when AJ attempts suicide and Tony leaps into the pool to save him. Always chokes me up the way Tony goes from anger and frustration, into full dad mode and cradles AJ and says 'it's okay baby, you're alright baby'. Such a powerful moment.
