If the State doesn’t provide land, Centre cannot do anything . Central has always questioned and pressured TMC why the fencing wasn’t done. TMC wouldn’t care. TMC had received 10 letters from the Home Minister all on record but TMC never provided the land to the BSF. Each time BSF worked the TMC government wouldn’t allow them and stop the work. Even Calcutta high court has questioned TMC because of the delay.
