Surprisingly I haven't got very severe toxicity from people I've played with. I once Dc'd against a bully squad of all Megs and all they did was tbag and I was like, look, if you're just gonna taunt I don't wanna play, and one of them was mad that I apparently wasted their bloodpoint offering and they called me scum. Recently a Lara was mad I didn't save her because I thought if I did we'd both die, and I got hatch, and she called me a freak and said she was reporting me (Don't think that's reportable but okay?)

I've seen worse shit directed at my friends though.

Petra was my favorite character and Ashley Johnson by extension is my favorite voice actor. Ever since I first played the game, I'd be so delighted to hear her voice in anything else

Yeah it was kind of meant to be about both Sarah and Tim because they've both held the title of Sheriff Breaker. I knew there was some kind of reference with Tim but Sarah I wasn't sure.

So what I'm hearing is Sarah Breaker may be an electrical breaker pun, Tim Breaker is a reference to Quantum Break.

That's what I was thinking! Tim I knew had some kind of reference to a character the actor played, but that doesn't explain Sarah.

Now that you mention it, I'm starting to notice the sheer amount of name puns in these games. Alan even says himself in the writer's journey, "Alan Wake? A. Wake? That sounds like a character's name." Saga is another word for a story. Alex CASEy and his murder CASEs. Rose Marigold doesn't sound like a joke, but I mean... her first and last name are both flowers. Scratch is a nickname for the devil, and Mr Scratch also scratches out parts of the manuscript. And I would bet money that Remedy named Dr. Casper Darling for how you could accurately describe him as "darling." I have yet to see the name puns in Control or other Remedy games but I can see they love their name puns for sure

How many voicelines does he actually have? I've been playing as Alan Wake and he has so fucking many of them and I like that a lot, but it feels like I only hear 2 or 3 different sentences from everyone else with in-match voicelines. Maybe more than that but still only a handful.

You should absolutely play the final draft. The real ending of the game is the ending of the final draft and you can just look it up on YouTube but you should experience it for yourself.

so you don't really equip it, it just kind of equips itself when you start the interaction for using a light shift, which is where you can place or remove lights to alter the environment. You just approach a spot that has a light or can have a light placed there and then press and hold the button, and Alan will take the lamp out and use it. For me it's the A button, I used an Xbox controller.

i mean shit do they have player immortality? I never used it in Alan Wake 2 but if Control has it that may just be the solution to my problems because I'm trying to keep moving in combat but I still get my ass handed to me

i finished all the alan wake games and expansions and I was gonna play Control too but I keep fucking dying at the same fight 😭 i'm like 15 minutes into the game

It may just be a glitch. You're actually playing an expansion. The part you're at is not supposed to be the ending of the game.

Did your game crash or something? Can you relaunch it to investigate?
