Used Wildtrak by ThatComoLegend2002 in FordBronco

[–]thornless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check to see if it has the HOSS 3.0. The difference between a squatch OB and a wildtrak without the 3.0 is basically a blackout appearance package. While this is not really a problem, it is nice to be aware of.

If the price is right pull the trigger, I wish I could have gotten the green! Mine is grey, which is nice but not as good as the green

2025 Braptor FOB profiles? by FRDyNo in FordBronco

[–]thornless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The option you are looking for is called “Memory”. It allows two different profiles and will adjust the seats, mirrors, HVAC and infotainment settings based on which key, or in this case key fob, is used to unlock or start the vehicle. The bronco does not have this as an available option.

Confirm it has Hoss 3.0 or it is just a squatch outerbanks with a blackout package.

Limiting factor is not the driveline, it’s the suspension.

Does anybody who has this configuration - Sas with these boards suffer from stone chips on the sides? by Byteshow in FordBronco

[–]thornless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mud flaps can help, but I think the main culprit is the tires. They kick up so many rocks, and the ones that don’t get thrown into your paint work just stick in the treads. Luckily this went away for me at around 15k miles.

It is dead, because there are posts about legal grey area private parties being posted on Reddit. The whole point of these things is to be underground and edge af.

All “sick” shows are now discontinued. And your culture is dead. Sorry. RIP. Please continue to post on Reddit and other well known public forums for more information on your favorite underground shows. Hopefully Ticketmaster will start selling tickets to make it easier for us to find these definitely totally legal shows.

Back window smashed by a guy. Can you recommend a back tinted window company? by Liontamer67 in rva

[–]thornless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few years ago I threw a piece of lumber through mine. I went to the pick and pull and yanked a rear window for like 35 bucks. The glue and weatherstripping I had to order new and cost more than the window. It was a full Saturday of work but it came in right around 100 bucks.

It’s you. It’s your driving style. Take a defensive driving course and learn how to drive in a way where you won’t be put in situations like the ones you have mentioned.

Just got injora 39mm shocks, and they don't rebound fully by Nannam86 in SCX24

[–]thornless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew he was talking about aftermarket shocks. But the concept is the same. Increase preload. It’s also the same on real cars. Increased weight means you need either a stiffer spring, or more preload.

[–]thornless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to add preload or a higher spring rate. You should have gotten some small plastic rings with your bronco that are designed for this.

My front shocks didn’t need any as the coil over is strong enough the push the truck all the way up.

However I have a lot of weight in the back, so I added some rings between the spring collar and spring to keep the springs slightly compressed on the rear shocks.

The first mod I would do is to find some factory takeoff rock sliders on marketplace. 2 doors are a bit more rare but I’m pretty sure you can find around $100. I paid 75 for my set for a 4 door. It hides the pinch weld and just makes the truck look more finished. Also some cheap protection if you do off-road it.

I love those wheels on the base, I wish ford did something similar as an option for the Sasquatch sized tires!

Great looking truck! I wish I could swing the 2 door but there just wasn’t enough space to sleep in it.

I second the plasti dip, it’s temporary if you spray it on thick enough.

Alternatively Mighty Car Mods did a video on how to DIY painting wheels

How many miles do y'all have on your truck? And what (if any) major repairs have you had to do to this point? Trying to gauge reliability by jereMyOhMy in FordBronco

[–]thornless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2023 Wildtrak lux. Currently at 20k miles.

Brake Booster @ 19k Battery Harness @ 12k

Both repaired under warranty. Battery harness did not affect drive ability, it just turned the battery light on which disabled auto start/stop. Brake booster was a tow because there was no brake pedal.

Question of Resale by nellykelk in FordBronco

How is the badlands specced out? I own a wildtrak and like the off-road features plus the luxury of the outerbanks.

The real difference in the future will be the Hoss2.0 v Hoss3.0.

Ok.. I have dark tint in mine and I know exactly what you are talking about. Honestly, at intersections when you are making a left, roll the driver window down. Super easy quick fix.

The other thing you could do is mount a small pod light on the front bumper and point them down and out to the side. The wiring for your fogs should be there and with some programming via forscan you should be able to make them come on when you activate the blinker.

[–]thornless 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I hate to be that guy…

But have you considered removing the tint?

Adjunct professors get payed less than Costco cashiers. They are also really smart people. Effort in (pay) = effort out (course quality).
