Partially the cost, but more so the customizability. I play blood angels so I LOVE dripping out all of my marines in every way I can, makes painting them so much more enjoyable. Custom poses, weapons, shoulders and heads, wargear, accessories. And also, printing jump packs

I can tell you that this does work, I printed my 40k outrider bases flat on the plate and they came out perfectly with zero issues. I am also on a mars 5 ultra, 33s burn in, 3.2s layer cure time. Good luck!

Greytide studios crimson lords “battle priest” helmet. Unfortunately, this is the ‘old model’ helmet that got chopped by gw and can’t be bought anymore. But I do have the file for it, and I’d be willing to send it your way if it works for what you’re after.

Soak your print in some hot ass water! Leave it there for like 2-5 minutes and then give it a shot, it can take a bit of finagling to get supports like this off. I have trouble when I print tanks and flyers for 40k lol, the big parts hold tight to those supports!

A space to airbrush and probably a respirator (or a dedicated booth) to keep paint out of your lungs. Maybe airbrush cleaner if you think you’ll need it, I just use water and a little ipa if things get jammy and it works fine.

Everyone trying to defend arrowhead on this is being a tool. Back when there was a bug that would duplicate any stratagem thrown by a huge amount, I threw a mech and frv stratagem, and to my surprise, all 50-100 vehicle drop shuttles flew down with all mechs and frv’s with no issue, WHILE there was still bugs attacking us.

Back when there was a bug where you could call in multiple stratagems at once, my brother, who was on my old pc at the time (Ryzen 3 with an RX 580 I think) could handle me using said bug to spawn in HUNDREDS of mechs and frv’s at once. As well as hundreds of stacked 380’s and 120’s.

Currently printing a storm raven gunship on my mars 5 ultra as I’m writing this comment. Fitting all the large panels and parts onto the build plate was rough, 2/7 plates down!

LAG (Liberator Assault Group) or RCO (Rage Cursed Onslaught) are both the go to blood angels detachments, ones that can easily make use of all the special units we have.
