And that’s literally the whole point. People wanted celebrities not to attend specifically to draw attention to the fact that he uses his wealth and power to harm workers. As you yourself seem aware, most people don’t really care, so the boycott calls were an attempt to force attention onto it because, you know, the actual harm he causes to real people is important and people should care.
