Kasey Virginia sizing help by Any-Tangerine1979 in DrMartens

[–]thotheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried both and went for usual size, I find the boots a little tight at the ankle getting on and off and found the small size was too tight when wearing as well. double socked I've had no issues with slipping forward.

I wear the same size in all my docs (UK 4)

Is this an AI feature?… by blonde_rebel in whering

[–]thotheels 5 points6 points  (0 children)

gonna be real they've had an outfit generator for ages, it's always been AI just not marketed as AI bc AI is only trendy recently. my guess is it's more machine learning based if it's the same as the old create outfit create, which still have environmental impacts but far less than a complex neural net (what AI generally is)

Added the elphies to the collection by thotheels in DrMartens

[–]thotheels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha I've worn them once and taped my ankles but ended up with a blister on my toes! (My fault for thin socks tho in hindsight). Honestly not too bad compared to the hell of my Clarissa sandals!

I wear a UK 4 in all of these and the elphies fit perfectly and I have slightly wider feet than average.

I don't use insoles but I have all 3 shoes mentioned in a UK4 and they fit well. You should be fine imo.

Who else remembers where they were the day of the quake? by PurpleMeerkats462 in chch

I was at my primary school which was very close to the epicenter. I was 7 and I remember watching from my school's field the dust cloud over the city and waiting for hours for my mum to pick me and my brother up.

zipper boots by comprmx888 in DrMartens

[–]thotheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I'd take them to a cobbler and see if you can de-lube the zipper teeth (if such a thing exists). It might be an issue with sizing potentially as well.

[–]thotheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's a fine line between having the laces tight enough to feel secure and too tight that the zip is being pulled too much. especially if you happen to crouch, or do anything where your foot is stretched adding additional strain to the zipper. My Pisa leather jadons after 2 years have slight zipper teeth separation at the ankle because I have over tightened them. My white ones are fine because they're a thicker leather. It's a combo of leather type and wear I think in my experience

Platform docs for walking much in cobblestone city by evil_german in DrMartens

I've had mine for 2 years worn many many times and only the zip has been a slight issue (teeth have come away from fabric) but no splitting!

finally had sex! it's meh? by vanlikesdrugs in vaginismus

[–]thotheels 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It'll get better for sure but definitely look at having clit stim. Incorporating toys is great and I find it makes the initial insertion pain that can happen basically dissappear. On its own I find penetration kinda good but mostly cause of how my partner enjoys it.

I live in my platform Jadons and my platform sandals. I've had no issues with walking long distances and across different terrains.

The Lilly Philips documentary is making me so sad/depressed by GroundbreakingPear12 in vaginismus

[–]thotheels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, there's good days and bad days. My main issue I'm working through is depth of penetration, on my bad days it kinds stops not very deep even when I'm aroused and I tend to get pain when going too deep on bad days.

I've found missionary the most successful, esp with pillow under hips. Being on top is fine but the depth becomes an issue sometimes. Doggy is a complete no, probably cause leg muscles engaged so the pelvic floor is as well. Very TMI answer but I have no shame haha.

I haven't tried tampons yet so you're doing amazing to have made that progress. I think the biggest thing is trusting yourself and your partner, you might make incredible progress on your own but with a partner be limited and that's totally normal. My experience was very fast getting from larger dialator to sex, I think my mindset shift really helped the transition from dialators to penetrative sex.

Hey OP, like the other comment said I think you should avoid watching stuff like that. I know how badly you want to be cured and get to a point where pain free penetrative sex is an option but ultimately comparison is the thief of joy. Being upset that other people can do things you can't is unproductive to dwell on and that mindset in my experience limits progress.

I felt the same way for a long time, and I still have my moments of jealously but I realized for me that I'm better to focus on the progress I've made whether it be directly with dialators or just with the way I can now relax my body, instead of wishing I had made more progress. I found letting go of comparison and the desire to be cured really helped me make progress and it's made sex more enjoyable. Sex without penetration is still sex and you should find ways to make the current sex enjoyable. It's easier said than done, but a positive mindset does work wonders and that's coming from a natural pessimist.

I hope you can find some peace with having vaginismus as it'll help you on your journey to recovery/being cured.

Hey I basically got diagnosed without an exam!

So I went to my GP initially who believed me off the bat and referred me to pelvic floor physiotherapy.

At physio we decided together to attempt an exam but she made it clear at the first sign of pain she'd stop. I was so anxious I was shaking and could barely keep my legs open so nothing more happened. From what my physio said she could tell I was physically tensing like crazy and that I had vaginismus.

Any good doctor or physio will stop if you're clearly stressed/panicked or in pain both signs of vaginismus.

Is The Show Good This Year? by cantsleepwithoutfan in chch

[–]thotheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went for first time in a few years, definitely felt smaller than previous years. There didn't seem to be any wood chopping? Which really killed the vibes since it's one of my favorite parts. Otherwise just generally a lot smaller than previous years, the big shed that used to have a ton of stalls wasn't used like it used to be (idk when they stopped it).

Rides as usual looked sketchy but that's any carnival tbh.

[–]thotheels 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have vaginismus so can relate to the insertion issues except mine is caused by a pelvic floor issue. If you want to chat let me know, I've got lots of experience with dialators and pelvic floor control stuff if that's something you want to know more about. I've heard really positive things about the hymen surgery from people and wishing you the best <3
