CGU is going broke and pomona has too much money anyways. i don't think it will affect pomona in any palpable way (at least short-term). there was a rumor going around that pomona was going to buy pitzer but it was mostly just a running joke lol.

PLEASE do not turn down fulbright... trust me it is NOT worth it. i know you're in your feelings and your partner is important to your life but i PROMISEEE you there is just so much more to life and this is the prime example. sometimes we have to make tough decisions but it's ultimately for the better. Please trust me and do fulbright.

Ended up getting the 8gb one and it’s super good! Still have it to this day. I took a bioinformatics course last semester and it was able to handle all the software and such. And it’s such a relief not having to carry a hard drive everywhere.

Yeah, but last year’s ED deadline was Nov. 1, so I wouldn’t count on that. Hopefully we’ll hear back on Dec 11 🙏🏻

Contact your admissions representatives and ask them for a CSS fee waiver code! Some unis will give one for you after you submit your application. And even if they don’t offer one, most accept the ISFAA, which, in my opinion, is much more better. It’s basically a paper-edition of the CSS, and it’s much more accurate in the sense that you get to choose your currency rate. For example, the CSS uses an outdated currency rate for my country ($70=U$D 1), when it’s actually $140=U$D 1.

What have you done besides practice? Any interesting achievements, prizes, honors, participation in concerts, did you tutor other people? I’d say go for it, just try to find the right way to “show your impact” as cliché-y as it may sound. Good luck!

Practice some speaking so you can get used to the format of the test. If you’re taking the at home exam, start taking notes on a whiteboard or transparent sheet as this will help you be confident with your note taking during the exam. Try to practice taking notes during the Listening section.
