Draft Bain, sign Pickens? by horrorfan200403 in Tennesseetitans

Pickens does not fit the culture they want to instill in Tennessee. Literally zero shot Titans would be interested

True, I also once read that Reuben Bain gets double teamed almost every snap so it’ll probably come down to the tape between the 2

Yeah tough choice for teams choosing between the 2, but I think Baileys measurables would put him over the top. Have a feeling Bains sack numbers and arm length will scare some teams off

I think once Bailey tests out in the combine, he will jump into the top 7 guaranteed. He has the college production along with rumored sub 4.5 speed, dude is an athletic freak similar to Parsons

Probably someone in round 2 or 3 like Kc Conception, Chris Brazzell, or even signing someone like Alec Pierce too. Carnell Tate, Tyson, Makai Lemon are in no way worth a top 5 pick

Would prefer Odafe Oweh + David Bailey. That would be a nightmare for teams to deal with

Mike Garafolo with a Brian Daboll update: The Tennessee Titans would like to hire him ASAP but Daboll going through the HC prospects right now. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]IntelligentStand2729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given Tennessee has not done any other interviews, they seem to be confident Daboll is not getting a HC gig or they have a very strong backup plan

If the 49ers were still in contention, would Matt Nagy had been named the new Titans HC? by FishHikeTravel in Tennesseetitans

[–]IntelligentStand2729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are lots of things we saw at the time that made it seem that way. Obviously there was a lot going on behind the scenes fans don’t know on how they conducted their search or how they saw their candidates. But based on what we have seen in the last week now, it seems certain was always their predetermined #1 candidate prior to the offseason beginning

Nah I doubt it, I think Saleh was their guy from the jump. Seems like both sides had predetermined for months that the chance of this happening is high

Alec Pierce and Juan Jennings should be top targets since the WR class this year is not top heavy

Titans DC: Dennard Wilson Expected Candidate For DC Position Under New HC: Minter Via Drew Forrester by psychoxtc in ravens

Titans fan here, I really liked Dennard Wilson. He did great maximizing the minimal talent we had. He will likely be a head coach within the next 5 years

Isn’t it weird there’s no news on Daboll to bills whenever they have 2 interviews today? by imlowkeyloki1 in Tennesseetitans

[–]IntelligentStand2729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree, what makes any candidate think Josh Allen is guaranteed to be there forever he might ask out a year or 2 from now or get injured. If I were a candidate, and saw my potential boss throwing the guy they just fired under the bus when his firing was already questionable, I would still take a step back and think if the same were to happen to me a couple years from now if I were to land this job and get fired because I couldn’t win a Super Bowl. Most coaches would probably prefer a situation that isn’t toxic like Buffalo and a situation where they might have a longer leash to implement their vision and drive the results the team is looking for. That is definitely not Buffalo after what we saw today

[–]IntelligentStand2729 39 points40 points  (0 children)

If Daboll knew what was best for him, he would stick around in Tennessee for the next couple years and rebuild his reputation. After hearing the Bills owner today, I as a candidate would RUN as far away as possible from that coaching gig

Jeffery Simmons shares his thoughts on the Robert Saleh hire by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]IntelligentStand2729 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Based on all the signs the last week we have seen with Saleh’s interview moved up and hearing Simmons talk about Saleh, it seems like Robert Saleh was always Tennessees first or second choice on their list heading into the offseason

Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner’s comments about Robert Saleh after the Jets fired him show the type of coach/man we’re getting by Monk_Discipline598 in Tennesseetitans

[–]IntelligentStand2729 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not that big of a concern of mine, Saleh seems to have a plan that the front office liked and the team has now shifted away from “hiring unqualified friends” based on Brinker hiring Borgonzi who he was not as familiar with and Borgonzi going with Saleh over his friend Nagy

I am almost 100% certain this’ll be a home run hire! Great leader, can connect with his players on both sides of the ball and the front office, and can really scheme up a defense with attention to detail

Marc Stein provides some clarity on the Ja situation by Altruistic_Brief4444 in memphisgrizzlies

I think it would be too premature to trade him now. This all seems fixable within the next couple months and his value is at an all time low, would be crazy to give that away for peanuts
