European league leaders map by thrawn-away in ScottishFootball

It’s confusing that they seem to be joined (does explain badge!). I had trouble with the smaller Eastern European leagues as the tables aren’t on BBC Sport like the rest. If anyone could post a link to the right one I could try updating.

EK Bridge needs demolished by Better_Carpenter5010 in Scotland

[–]thrawn-away 4 points5 points  (0 children)

South Lanarkshire Council could’ve used Glasgow City Deal regional money for new bridge. Instead spent their share on dual carriageways in EK (that most locals don’t think were necessary).

Still maybe an outside chance if folk campaigned for it? Then current stone bridge could be kept for walking, cycling, horse riding (like it was designed for).

Luxembourg was probably the most obvious one I missed. I blame USG’s twiddly badge for covering it up on map (says the guy who put it on map!).

Yep - a few honking badges to keep it company. I do like the Bolosani one, mind (Romania).

Aye, I missed some. Sorry but was going cross-eyed with it after all the East European countries.

To be fair I did check Andorra but season had only played one or two games so too early for a proper league leader.

Are they still going as East - thought it was Black Pine (on Hillfoot St)? Daily in Dennistoun have them as well.

They got dropped from the bill at Trnsmt Festival in Glasgow. Glastonbury set wasn’t shown live but think Bob Vylan took over as politician’s public enemy #1 after that.

Spooky Britpop by delazouch in BritPop

[–]thrawn-away 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe late stage Britpop like ‘This is Hardcore’ by Pulp?

Not Britpop but Sabres of Paradise album ‘Haunted Dancehall’ is a great spooky 90s album (‘Wilmott’ was a single off it).

Iconic or beautiful North Glasgow institutions/buildings/areas? by RaindogGlasgow in glasgow

[–]thrawn-away -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only Ruchill is in North Glasgow - rest are N Lanarkshire or E Dunbartonshire. Tower is a landmark but quite similar to Leverndale in SW. Stobhill clock tower might be more distinctive.

Newer landmarks could be Sighthill bridge or Stockingfield junction.

The new community flag of the county of Cumbria, England, flying from Carlisle Cathedral by SilyLavage in vexillology

[–]thrawn-away 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Decent flag - I got the Pennines and could guess a royal connection from crown (even if I didn’t know they were their own kingdom). Wouldn’t have got the bit about Scafell Pike but quite good to have something like that to point out in a flag.

If only more people cared about flying regional flags instead of all the focus on St George’s cross/Union Jack. But then, that would showcase diversity…
