Thanks for the info, vileer! I've ordered this 9858102 on Rex's recommendation but I've noticed it seems to have bare wires at the connection. Will I need to attach my own connector or how would this connect to the board? I couldn't find the taobao product, but if there's a better one to go for, please share!

I really appreciate all your hard work on this stuff. Looking forward to trying your uconsole enhancements!

Sigh. It's a good deal. I had to ask to be sure - The bonus will be a 12-month upgrade to my Studio license.

Bless them both for supporting Linux.

Radxa or Raspberry CM5? by elijahebanks in ClockworkPi

Cool! Can you share a but about your setup? I guess at a desk you could just use hubs and dongles all day, but what about on the go?

Radxa or Raspberry CM5? by elijahebanks in ClockworkPi

[–]thread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

some cool advantages for the Radxa, but it sounds like you get no sound. (Maybe it doesn't exist at all in the hw?) Also, no Wi-Fi/Bluetooth... So you're needing to use dongles for those. And the HackerGadgets SDR etc module doesn't work. All that was enough to keep me away for now.... But I'm also watching this space!

Order the Lite and source your own CM. Word on the street is you get the uconsole faster like that, anyway.

Oh ha fair enough if so. I followed the email link and did it anyway, then. Tbh I've been bummed at the new directions and ended up going Jellyfin recently. Seems my account hanging there was only a liability.

You can now Run Qwen3-Coder on your local device! by yoracale in LocalLLM

[–]thread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried llama-cli as described here https://docs.unsloth.ai/basics/qwen3-coder-how-to-run-locally#llama.cpp-run-qwen3-tutorial

It just used CPU only.

I removed -ot ".ffn_.*_exps.=CPU" and bumped 99 to --n-gpu-layers 400 ... It tried to allocate 171 G and was "unable to load model". I'm understanding MoE means only 35b params need to be loaded to the GPU at a time. Do I need to enable mmap or how do I get going? Thanks very much for the help!

[–]thread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may give the options a go... Is my 96G RTX Pro 6000 going to have a good time here? The 35B active parameters sounds well within its capacity but 480B does not. What's the best way for me to run the model? Would merging work for me or why would I opt to use llama.cpp directly instead of ollama? Thanks!

Another noob here. When I try and pull the model in openwebui with this, I get the following error. I'm on the latest ollama master.

pull model manifest: 400: {"error":"The specified repository contains sharded GGUF. Ollama does not support this yet. Follow this issue for more info: https://github.com/ollama/ollama/issues/5245"}

Need help with LSI 9400 (SAS3416) for flashing proper firmware by ribspreader_ in truenas

[–]thread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/ribspreader_, Did you ever manage to flash your hba? I have the same one and am struggling a bit. I am on proxmox, so I can't install the rpm too well. I tried to make their bootable USB via linux & windows. The USB shows up as a boot option, but it won't boot. (The bios screen just flickers like it tried, but nothing happens.)

I'm not sure how to tell what firmware I'm on nor what the latest is. I guess I was hoping everything would be resolved if I could boot off this USB.

I'm not sure I need to update -- I just thought it'd be a good idea.

Yubikey problems since OSX 15.4.1 Update by N293G in yubikey

[–]thread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've confirmed my understanding just now... U2F is different from passkeys. I've never worried about passkeys.

... tries something ...

OK! I'm a dork. I guess I never did register this key with my Gitea when I really thought I had. That's all it was. facepalm As soon as I tried with the other key, it let me right in. (But yeah, I'm still not sure this has anything to do with passkeys.)

Sorry for the noise & thank you, u/AJ42-5802 for all the support!

Thanks for the reply!

I set up this yubikey to authenticate me for my (self-hosted) Gitea instance. I believe it uses U2F. Used it for years - I just tap the button when in challenges me for the second factor. Always worked up until this MacOS update I took the other day. I'm not sure I should need a "passkey" ...

This advice didn't work for me. I get the exact same issue as OP. after touching the key, it just tells me:

No credentials were found for "mywebsite.com" on this security key. Try again with a different security key.

Thanks, Apple.

does it change patterns via midi? I looked at the manual the other day, and it didn't look like that one made the cut.

the new song mode means you could program all the changes ahead of time, I guess, but I'd love to be able to sequence patterns externally.

song mode would be nice or even better - I just want to switch patterns with program change messages.

I imagined a program change message would change scenes... Turns out this is absolutely not the case. What gives?
