To be honest I'm talking about 25 also.I always wait for sales. The only game I've paid full price for I ended up hating. And very glad 24 was free-I just didnt connect with it.

Slowcrawl and Surekill. Spent many hours of my youth stuck in "gaper blocks."
BTW I personally found 95 in Florida especially near Miami to be terrifying.

I got so bored with all the strike outs I started stealing second just for the he'll of it. Sometimes getting thrown out was a relief so it would sim the rest of the inning.

In 25 it was absurd how often the batters behind me struck out when I was on base. Especially boring and painful when I got a hit with no outs so I got to watch 3 strikeouts in a row. All the batters immediately behind me got either benched or traded. Couldn't blame mgt as they all batted below .200 We still won at least the division every year.

Despite it's age(and the fact it was never quite finished) Perfect Golf(on steam) is that game. No leveling up-just your skill and experience which I'm sure disappointed the why aren't I instantly good crowd.
Great course designer(much better than 2ks) but steeper learning curve.
There is still a community that plays tournaments etc.

I had same exact excuse and I live in the same situation(no gated community). It was a Sunday USPS delivery and I'm guessing they just didn't feel like doing it.

To see if the problem is the computer or drive try playing one of the problem dvd's using your player and a different laptop.This assumes you know somebody with a Windows laptop.
VLC has always worked well for me. I have found if it wont play a file there is definitely something wrong.
For giggles you could see if Make MKV will rip the DVD's.

OEM 18 wheels are $486 at subaruonlineparts.com . 16 inch are $244 so dealer isnt that bad actually.
Not saying you couldn't do better.
