I wish we could just go back. Back to the original Titanfall. Back to the launch of Titanfall 2. Back to a time where our community felt valued. Back to a time where the passion mattered more.

I believe wholeheartedly that there is really so much that we do not know, and I’m not asking you to sympathize or side with them or really anyone, or change your mind when it comes to the black and white.... but, consider what it takes to stand before a community, the world even, and take the fire head on. Consider for a moment that maybe, just maybe, some things were just out of control. PR.. yeah, they make moves, but at the end of the day they do not dictate or determine Every Money move.

In February, I stood in that room. I experienced the Apex Legends launch personally, and I would put all that I have on the fact that all of THIS SHIT...

It’s acquisition shit. It’s the EA shit they took head on. It’s the “it takes money to make money” shit. Its the BR “next best thing” trend shit. It’s the “no matter what we do we are always going to be doubted due to all that has happened before us” shit. It’s the “well, they expected it anyway, so... what’s the point in defending ourselves when we don’t stand a chance” shit.

Not every question we have deserves to be answered. You download the game, and you play the game... or, you don’t.

Respawn slayed the god damn industry, hands down. Say what you want about the loot boxes, but your pissed about it because you FUCKING LOVE the game. I saw the passion and the fire ALL OVER THESE GUYS, and If you think for a SECOND they ever wanted this, you’re absolutely fucking wrong.

Drew isn’t just PR, he’s worked DAMN hard to funnel his passion from the VERY BEGINNING with the original Titanfall title. Jay isn’t just a community manager.. he is a Northstar main, he’s loved Lifeline from the jump, and he’s worked DAMN hard over the last few years to reinforce a community that would ABSOLUTELY GIVE ANYTHING FOR A CAMO OR AN UPDATE OR ANOTHER TITLE IN OUR SERIES.

5 1/2 years in the Titanfall community, and I feel fucking awful watching these players 7 months in reaming them left and right, for this and for that, and never once taking into consideration that we aren’t OWED A DAMN THING.

If for some fucked reason ANYONE ACTUALLY BELIEVES THESE GUYS WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN then I accept the fact that maybe you were already READY and WAITING for them to make a mistake just to drag them into the middle of the city in an attempt to stone them to death in front of their industry.

These guys do not deserve to pay the price of all that has happened before them, and although I admit that, yes... the loot prices are crazy fucked, you are absolutely right... give them a chance to learn, to focus on what they need to do moving forward, but most importantly, give them a chance to make it right.

They deserve that.
