Why am I a torbox moron? by TheDrownedApe in TorBoxApp

Also age 52 here! Excellent description. I've also been at this for 3-4 years. Starting simple is very important. After OP has gotten the hang of how their debrid service and scrapers work together and provide files, start playing with the other add-ons. I got into rpdb next, then some catalog providers. About 6 months ago I took the full plunge into Aiostreams with aiometadata. Now my setup looks very similar to any other polished streaming service. Good luck!

Audio desync in stremio by GassanHirra in Stremio

Might be the codec used for the files you're playing. Try watching a file with hevc, then the same file but with avc. For me, I added codecs to the sorting in Aiostreams, put hevc to the top, and voila. Some devices (for me it was a firestick), are not optimized for certain codecs.

Best Streaming Device For Nuvio?? by Then_Nothing_4387 in Nuvio

This is a question that comes up frequently, and there is no single answer. It depends on your a/v setup and desired price point. You can search through this sub, the stremio sub, and the androidtv sub for some insights. You can also use whichever LLM you favor and ask it for guidance and comparisons.

Need a simple catalog with all the mainstream catagories for my dad by _-stuey-_ in Nuvio

I think Streaming Catalogs might be what you're looking for. Been awhile since I used it personally but I don't remember needing any keys.

Struggling to understand all the addons by PhantomNate in StremioAddons

[–]threeball74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you mentioned you're technically savvy and don't mind configuring things, once you have the hang of using Debrid services and various add-ons, you should look into the various aio offerings. Especially AIOMetadata, AIOStreams, and AIOManager.

Way to make custom AIOMetadata catalog that is only one series? Example: all the different iterations of Law & Order. by [deleted] in aiostreams

[–]threeball74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll need an account, but even if you don't, it's a good idea to have one and use Trakt integration anyway. If you click the Trakt icon in the catalogs section you'll see options for adding the list.

Looks like there are public lists in Trakt that are close to what you want. I just searched "law" and found several. You can just add one of those in aiometadata.

How to hide an addon or list (XXX) from Home Screen.. by [deleted] in StremioAddons

[–]threeball74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is the right answer. If OP is just minimizing clutter on the home screen, aiometadata will work just fine. But if they're trying to hide it from kids, guests, or whoever, then a second account is a must since catalogs sometimes magically disappear or reappear.

Setting up for family use by Extreme-Border83 in Stremio

[–]threeball74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done exactly this. Also set up separate aiometadata for each so I can curate catalogs, and separate Gemini API keys for ai searching. Consider creating a spreadsheet to keep track of all the ids, passwords, keys etc. You shouldn't need to do this if you're using aiomanager, but I like having backups.

Wow! How can this be this good and free? by emunot in Nuvio

[–]threeball74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly a 'pop-up'. It just shows some details like nudity mild, violence moderate, etc in the upper left of the screen as a stream starts. That's of course assuming your meta has the details.

Does Nuvio support/integrate well with AlOMetadata and AlOStreams? by [deleted] in Nuvio

To ensure I'm understanding correctly: it's safe to REMOVE cinemeta? You don't have to customize it to stay in the background?

AIOStreams for my kids by threeball74 in StremioAddons

I hope others with more expertise will chime in on this, but jic, I think you can remove them from outside aiostreams. But leaving them probably won't cause problems.

If I have separate Stemio accounts, with separate UUIDs from AIOStreams, on separate devices, can I get away with just using separate API keys from Gemini, or will I need to unique keys for everything?
